If being better is being 100% ass, then I don't want to have a good gameIf you don't use commas

Nobody makes you got for metal man first, that's a personal choice...? I mean, I was goofing with my reply, but: without the success that Mega Man 2 was, none of the other ones happen. So it must've done something right. If being better is being 100% ass, then I don't want to have a good game
I'd rather take my garbage like Megaman 3 where the game is extended longer and E tanks actuallly carry over, as well as a game that's fair and well put-together unlike the mess that is Rockman 2. I'm surprised the series even got another entry with that piece of shit coming after the masterpiece original. Early game or not, they knew they were onto something with the rock-paper-scissors style boss weakness patterns, and Rockman 2 completely fucked off the idea. The whole thing is jank and unbalanced as fuck and the bosses aren't balanced so that you can easily go into any stage to start with, unlike practically every good game in the entire franchise; there was always appeal in player freedom to have options which stage to beat, but here it's just go for Metalman as soon as you can so you can beat everything in the game. No effort, you're rewarded by beating Metalman who's the easiest boss in the entire franchise. Nothing about that fight feels good or rewarding other than a needlessly overpowered, unbalanced weap9n that breaks the entire game wide open. Poorly planned out, poorly thought out.
Aside from being the most unfairly favored game in the franchise; not really!Nobody makes you got for metal man first, that's a personal choice...? I mean, I was goofing with my reply, but: without the success that Mega Man 2 was, none of the other ones happen. So it must've done something right.

The other lesser games are just jealousAside from being the most unfairly favored game in the franchise; not really!

As for Wind Waker, even though it did well at the time, there were people (be they insecure Nintendo fans or legit haters of anything Nintendo) who were hating on it for not looking "realistic/mature enough" and too "cartoony". I held no interest in a majority of zelda games but I never hated WW. It's a good game but people went into the other direction to defend it, because there was so much blind hatred and insecurity from the western side to begin with.
Mega Man 2 was a massive jump from the first but I can agree that 3, 4, 5 and 6 had vastly improved upon the formula.Megaman 2 is a huge stankin' piece of shit, and people love it for all the wrong reasons

The framerate doesn't feel laggy.I genuinely can't stand any of the Sonic Advance games. Both their framerate and music are far too crunchy for my liking.

monster design, level design, music, etc etcMassive jump, more like a failed pole vault across a skyscraper rooftop
Rockman 2 didn't improve upon shit; it actually achieved the opposite, failing to be as good a game as the first entry. What exactly improved?
Nothing; that's just another bullshit answer the internet likes to parrot-squawk at anyone who calls the game out on it's flaws.
It's a good game, and an important game at that, but anyone who actually thinks the classic series peaked with it must be wearing heavy-duty nostalgia goggles. I sympathize with younger Mega Man fans having to deal with 20-30 somethings on the internet convincing them it was the best game in the series before actually forming their own opinions (I should know, I'm one of them).Megaman 2 is a huge stankin' piece of shit, and people love it for all the wrong reasons

It could be equally as possible that it scratches the exact itch someone is after, and entries after that complicated the process. Exactly, some people prefer garbageIntenti

It's all personal taste, for me it was over once the charge shot came in. 2 is my sweet spot because it's just fun to pick up and play.

No it isn't, that's that fucking parrot-speak that all sounds like it came from some AI trying to formulate an opinion based on the overall average public opinion collected from research data. Slow down there, chief. I think you're alright, but you're taking this a little too seriously. No sense in being shitty like that about it.No it isn't, that's that fucking parrot-speak that all sounds like it came from some AI trying to formulate an opinion based on the overall average public opinion collected from research data. You're almost right;
People who think the game is good in any regard have some seriously askewed vision from uncleaned nostalgia glasses; but people who think the series peaked at 2 are just downright mentally handicapped.![]()
Still doesn't excuse acting like an ass hat to those of the younger generation, or for having different opinions and actually thinking for themselves. It could be equally as possible that it scratches the exact itch someone is after, and entries after that complicated the process. Yeah, let's not use mentally handicapped as an insult. Especially to those who are actually mentally handicapped in the world. Fine, if you don't agree with other opinions, but that's getting way below the belt there and unnecessary.nostalgia glasses; but people who think the series peaked at 2 are just downright mentally handicapped.

Also Streets of Rage peaked at the second game for nearly 30 years until the fourth mainline entry in 2020.
Also, for some Mega Man X fans, that series peaked at either X1 or X4. Everyone has their options and opinions and there is nothing wrong with that.
Wasn't saying it does. I think people can like what they like.Still doesn't excuse acting like an ass hat to those of the younger generation, or for having different opinions and actually thinking for themselves.
Somewhat better.I'm sorry
I meant to say "brain missing"
Glad we're clear on it.Wasn't saying it does. I think people can like what they like.
It's fine to like something but why do people talk everything up so much without any substance as to what it is they like about it?Wasn't saying it does. I think people can like what they like.
Exactly; there's no nice way to say itSomewhat better.

?????Glad we're clear on it.
Why do they have to? To convince you that it's okay for them to like a thing? So they don't get called a bunch of names? Wasted energy imoIt's fine to like something but why do people talk everything up so much without any substance as to what it is they like about it?
You did quote before hand, unless you got me by accident.I was replying to a bold in someone else's post, did I miss something?
I don't understand what you mean, but ok I guess. You did quote before hand, unless you got me by accident.
I'm talking more specifically about the people that shove it in everyone's face claiming it's good when it's not actually all that impressive and doesn't bring a whole lot of new stuff to the table, not the people trying to sit quietly and enjoy their favorite game and not go around telling people that all the other ones suck and that this one is just inexplicably better "because they like it".Why do they have to?
