Gunpla/Model kits thread

don't know if it was made before, didn't found anything on my end at least, but i wanted everyone who interested in model kits to show off their collection!



I'm really just a beginner, since my country doesn't sell any of them, i had to order them from Japan/China and it takes ~1-2 months, they're dirty cheap, but the wait is the most terrifying process for me, so I don't have a much of them. Still, here is my HG Zaku-II (red comet ver.) 1/144

I think i have the same Char's Zaku you have. Mine is from the Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin series.

i have a HG Dygenguar, Gespenst and Weissritter from the SRW OG lineup and a HG GX 9900DV Gundam Divider from After-War although its in bad condition. Been some rough times in the house and it was only my second build.

Also have a Full Arsenal EG RX-78-2.
I have a Ashsavior and a HG Deathscythe ive yet to build, but I'm waiting for the cold to settle back in after all this heat.

I used to have a ton of these, started building them when I was in high-shool. Had to let a lot of them go but kept some of my favorites and recently got back into building a few recent kits that really impressed me like the EVA-01 and the D-First
Not pictured but I also built a Kotobukiya Dolores from the Zone of the Enders anime series. Really cool but a hassle to work with compared to Bandai's and even Blokees' kits. The difference in plastic quality and parts-fitting is really noticeable, even if you account for the Dolores being an older kit
Also need to grab a new panel-liner to properly finish off some of these kits. Also, also ignore the random action figures that are next to these, I don't have enough space to keep everything separated by type lol

Love the Mazinger Z & the Dolores, I hope to get a collection half as impressive as yours someday. Just need to come up with display & storage ideas for them.

That's the Baldios from Space Warrior Baldios. The figure specifically is by Yamato from a line called GN-U Dou
As for storage, most collectors I know go with plain old plastic tubs, although personally I would only use those for cheaper and hard to break stuff. Granted I'm a bit paranoid about potential damage when it comes to this stuff

Ah brilliant, thank you for that. Baldios is actually on my plan of shows to watch. Trying to be able to find all of them actually haha. Currently watching Yuusha Raideen, and I absolutely want a kit of him at some point.

Haven't watched Raideen yet, myself but I've heard good things about it. As for model kits, I do know there's an old Bandai one from the same series/line as the Mazinger Z in my photo and a more modern one by GoodSmile Company in their Moderoid line. In fact, their Moderoid line has a lot of classic Super Robots kits, even quite a few obscure ones. Worth checking out if you're into mecha and kits

Shining Gundam and Mazinger Z is dope! Really want Dolores myself but can't find anything at valuable price for my country.

I started around a year ago with a entry grade that I found by chance and I got hooked instantly. I search mostly on Aliexpress for good prices and so far it's been great. Next year I could start trying some advanced customizing techniques and things like master grades since I'm loving every aspect of this hobby, it's all about self-improvement with each kit.
