That one I could never get into, nor like. Urban Reign is better. Also this:
I managed a no death run of Spike Out: Final Edition. I used White. I have not played this game since the early 2000s. It's nice to have this game on disc, even though I had to buy Pirate Yakuza to play it. Good news, I got Pirate Yakuza on sale, so it's not like a paid full price. Back on topic, the game is pretty much 3D Streets of Rage 4, but not in name. There are at least two character analogues to Axel and Blaze. This game is the most late 90s SEGA Arcadey game ever made by SEGA. The game has alternate paths it does not tell you and you have to figure out on your own. You can go up to 4 player, but make sure you have the equal amount of controllers to how many you have with you. The game will split into different and smaller square screens, so I suggest playing this on big screen, if you got it. I'll probably do a different character run later on.
By far the weakest of all the mainline games, including the 2016 remake which gets a lot of undeserved hate. I could write an essay on all of the things wrong with Rift Apart. It completely squanders its potential with the alternate dimension stuff as the game only focuses on ONE alternate dimension. The rift tether is also a lazy, uninspired game mechanic that the game never does anything interesting with. Rivet is a completely missed opportunity. She looks and plays EXACTLY like Ratchet. What is the point of a new playable character if she is just a clone of Ratchet?
The game is missing so many classic elements from previous games. There's hardly any mini-games except for hacking with Glitch and those segments are absolutely DREADFUL. There's barely any puzzle solving. There is little in the way of gadgets. The weapons are tame and lack the over the top wackiness of previous games. The combat arena is totally not fun which is a travesty in a Ratchet and Clank game. There's also very few actual arena challenges. It feels like an afterthought.
You spend 80% of the game fighting the same obnoxious Nefarious robots over and over and over and over and over again. And you get tired of those cheap long range ones hitting you from a football field away with their obnoxious lasers. The game also has like four mini bosses that it keeps recycling over and over again throughout the game.
The game is full of bugs, at least on PC. And the PC version has terrible audio problems. Absolutely garbage port.
I think it's time to retire this series. As more and more time goes by the Sly Cooper series is really emerging as the better series when compared to Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter.
Just beat Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix on Critical last night. Wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, only took 16 hours. I was able to beat Sephiroth, but still need to get to lvl 99 for the data organization fights. Thinking of doing a playthrough of Popful Mail afterwards. Also still playing through Dynasty Warrios 8 XL, Stranger of Sword City, and Atlier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout.
1. Metroid Prime 4
2. Sonic Crossworlds Racing
3. Finding Dragons
4. Slots & Daggers
5. Wario World
6. Age of Mythology Retold
7. Sonic Adventure 2 Randomizer
8. Mario Kart Double Dash!! Randomizer
The randomizers were done with archipelago, actually did SA2 twice, once by myself and a second time as part of a group. Both times the Hammer Gloves for Knuckles was the last item I needed.
Holy hell, that took A LOT of time. But I've finally beat. And didn't disappointed me.
Sure, some units at a certain parts (but predicatbly, since most of Fire Emblem games are all like that) become irrelevant during the story. Like, it mostly focuses on the characters you see here and the laguz. But for that there's always Radiant Dawn and any support conversation I've naturally missed.
It will take time before I get into its sequel since I felt a little burned out, but the gameplay was top notch. I wish I would have enjoyed it back at the times when it was fresh newer considering the outrageous price it is sold nowadays at any online/flea market.

The other day I completed my first play-though in Dead Space 2 (PS3)..
I would've done it earlier, but I made the dual-mistakes of trying to start the game on 'Survivalist'(Hard) AND attempted to do it as a 1-gun run like the first game (which I recently got Platinum/100%'d). I desperately clawed my way through the last areas to reach the final boss, but is effectively impossible to beat considering that I only had FIVE shots left in my Plasma Cutter, and ZERO medikits or Stasis recharges left.. I learned that it takes anywhere between 23~35 melee strikes to expose the core for the first time and release the horde of little enemies. Yes, it is possible to successfully use melee attacks against it, at least during the first phase.. (IYKYK)
I had to put it down for a couple weeks after that frustrating disappointment, but I eventually came back and steamrolled through 'Normal'.
It's also fun how the last part of the ending riffs on the original's very end, immediately before the credit roll..
Now I can't decide whether to do my 'New Game+' through 'Zealot' first, or to complete the "Severed" scenario..

I dunno if it counts, but I've also been playing a lot of Helldivers 1 (PS3) lately, and recently I participated in (from start to finish) my first successful War, thus earning the gold "Peace and prosperity reigns again" trophy.
I'm only three trophies away from Platinum. The silver accuracy and stealth trophies, and I'm less than a single "molehill" away from the gold "Making mountains out of molehills" trophy..
1. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis Emulator) - 4,5/10
It's really crazy how different this game is on each platform, in virtually every respect, including difficulty level. I decided to play this game on every platform it was released on. This version is easiest. 2. Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition (Switch 2) - 7/10
Overall, the game is good after the patches. If it had been like this at launch, it would have been better received, although there is also a lot of untapped potential, especially in the side quests, which are usually mediocre. And then there's the fan service, which is also mostly just for the sake of it. Only Lando, who appears in the DLC, Jabba, and Bib Fortuna play a bigger role.
Qi'ra, Temmin Wexley, Darth Vader and Boba Fett also appear, but in my opinion, they are completely underutilized. This is especially true with Boba Fett, whom we only see and hear once when sneaking into Jabba's palace while in the ventilation duct.
Just curious, are you playing on original hardware or are you emulating the game?
I'd really like to play the first two Dead Space entries again sometime, great games.
The one and only game I've finished (meaning campaign on normal and at least gold for all the Arcade leagues and challenges) so far in 2026 is Time Splitters 2 on PS5. I loved it back then on PS2 and I still love it today, it's just a great game.
Now I'm really looking forward to play its sequel, Time Splitters Future Perfect which I like even more.

Not only is it original hardware, it's a 1st-Gen Backwards Compatible PS3! I've been very fortunate in how well it has held up for this long. It actually sat in a box for several years before I finally decided to put in a new SSD & Jailbreak it this past summer..
I played the hell out of the original TimeSplitters WAY back when it first came out as a PS2 launch title. I don't remember if I 100%'d or not. But I still have my original save file, so I've have to download a copy from the repo and check..
