it was perfect in school when i needed to fokus on math or reading history books
just start the music and all the noise of the world vanish and i could fokus on the books
i used it for many years until it broke

this was the mp3 player i did have

I have about 40GB of music on my phone, if that counts.
I rarely use spotify and the like. I like to listen to my albums, cuz I'm old.

I got a Sony Walkman from my parents when I was 4-5 years old during one of my many stays I had in hospitals as a kid.
It had a bunch of Hungarian radio comedies and stand up specials on it, and I remember watching the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie on it way too many times.
What’s really funny is that there is a new rule in Hungarian schools that kids need to give in their smartphones for most of the day, so my Sister is actually using that mp3 player that’s much older than her and listening to Billie Eilish and Gorillaz and stuff.

Yeah, still use my Sandisk Sansa e260 (with Rockbox firmware for all the codecs of COURSE), and have for years. Just replaced the battery for the 2nd time a few months ago. Came stock with AM/FM, which was unique back when this thing was first made. I love it.

Not a MP3 player per se, but around 2005 I got a Motorola Razr V3. You could also slap an SD card in it. Again, it's been 20 years, so I might be misremembering. But that was basically my music player for the longest time, even after support for it stopped. It had some really good headphones too.

And yes, mine was an absolutely obnoxiously eye-burning pink one

Yes. My first was a hand me down Sansa in 2008. Couldn't hold a ton of songs but man, I didn't care. Eventually I got an Agptek, but after a couple of years it kind of didn't want to play most of my music library and I upgraded to another one. The new one has Bluetooth, a built in speaker, and is built like a Sherman tank. Love it

It still turns on and plays music when connected to a TV or to speakers, but the play button is busted.

I did, but I no longer have them. One of them was all silver but had a blue button and a stylus, another one was black and red but had a blurry, like interface, and a blue, silver-looking one with bubbles or water as the general theme. Can't seem to find any of these specific ones online anymore.

I bought one a few months ago. I didn't really find myself using it until I started using it with work, and since there's nothing I can distract myself with beyond selecting a folder or track it works wonders for keeping focus.

I had a bunch of them over the years before smartphones became a common thing. I stopped using them when I got a phone that could store music.

Yes i have 2 currently i listen to my dj sets on them a friend sent me 7 of his sets last month his content gets me through the summer days.

I had gotten an Ipod when they first came out for when I went on Deployments and what not. But this here was MY mp3 player, I loved the Zune. Too bad it didn't do well.

This is my new one coming monday can run spotify also as well as mp3s. I have a phone but radiation gives me migraines i simply cant be near a phone all day.
