Are they remaking front mission 3? I didn’t know that, wasn’t sure if they’d remaster or just redo the graphics a bit, cool either way.

Yeah it's a remake. Apparently receptions to the limited beta were mixed because the graphics are "bad". They aren't. I don't know what people were expecting and honestly I have nothing but praise for Forever Entertainment/Storm Trident for their restraint. They didn't reinvent things.

After they shipped FM2 (incidentally one of two totally untranslated games in the franchise) with one of the worst MTL hack jobs I've ever seen, I really can't look on Forever Entertainment's "efforts" favorably. It's a shame too as FM2make is the one that would've seen a purchase from me.

Maybe I wouldn't go as far as saying that I'm excited about it but Penny Blood. A spiritual successor to Shadow Hearts made by the same core team? You have my cautious optimism.

While not new games, I am very much looking forward to the fan translations of Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny 2.

Doom: The Golden Souls 3 is a Doom mod I'm very very much looking forward to. I love Golden Souls 1, and liked Golden Souls 2 well enough.

idk if translations count but i'd do so many illegal things just to see yugioh monster capsule for the ps1 finally get translated. if the ultima underworld ps1 port can get a translation so can yugioh god DAMN it

I *wish* I was more excited for the Suikoden remaster, but if there's no changes like setting your party formation when characters are added by the story, or god forbid, a convoy system in the first game so you can actually bring the characters you want to the final dungeon? The HD elements look out of place with the sprite characters, like those Square Enix smoothed over mobile ports, and for fifty bucks?

Iffy proposition, that.

I'm always looking for new indies to play, but in the modern triple A space there's not much for me unfortunately. I'm looking forward to the Xenoblade Chronicles X port and I'm hoping against all odds for an Armored Core 6 DLC announcement on the Game Awards tomorrow.
And of course, I've been waiting for Metroid Prime 4 since I was in high school lol I'm playing it as soon as it drops, even though I don't have high expectations for it and don't even like the Prime games that much.

MTL means Machine TransLation.

It's usually when you have Japanese or Chinese-only game with a lot of text and instead of doing a full translating job, people just extract the text and throw it into a computer translator program.

Metal slug Tactics is getting a physical release outside of LRG in Europe (Thank god), I'm not sure about NA.
Onion Games who are an amalgamation of Love-de-Lic / Punchline studios (Moon / Chulip) are working on a new game called Stray Children and Rika Suzuki of Hotel Dusk / Trace Memory got funded to make another game about auctioning Hitler's estate, though it was meant to release in 2024.
It's nice to see some niche Japanese games still being made.
