The more I think about it, the more it looks to me that England had set itself up to play against France and then realized they had shown up to the wrong venue.

The way their manager had set up his defense seemed custom made to deal with France's lightning fast attacks from the sides and a clutter of the center to disable Mbappe — none of which are Argentina's staples of play.

I think England will wound up holding the bronze this time around... if they actually remember who they are up against.

It really seems to have spilled out beyond the usual Malvinas banter that's been around since the 86' WC. Lots of people who don't care about the sport are taking the chance to grift because they see an easy opportunity.
