It was '93 yet this feels so 80's.
So Minish Cap but like Wind Waker. Yeah that works. Might as well do it.I know I'm not in the popular opinion but I'd love to see a new SD/Chibi Link game in full 3D. WW is still the sole game with that.
Or maybe something that could look like Minish Cap but in 3D.

Maybe Wind Waker's reception is the reason why they stopped giving a shot at full 3D Toon Link games...So Minish Cap but like Wind Waker. Yeah that works. Might as well do it.
I love the way they wanted to make a grand adventure despite the technical limitation from 2D.
ALBW's artworks are magnificent. On the same level of Skyward Sword and BotW imo.

BotW had some similar sceneries in the game (although without any giant towers like that sadly).

It almost looks like a painting, fitting considering how one of the game's major theme is that.SO good, love the crayon style.

Despite not being an official name I always say "Classic Link" to talk about his NES, ALTTP, LA, OoA/OoS and ALBW design to contrast with Toon Link and the "Modern" design he got since Ocarina of Time.ALBW, together with Oracle, is my favorite Link design
Yeah the calligraphy style for Wind Waker is awesome. It's really cool how the artwork has a way rougher feel than the actual game, even though they're both hyper stylized and essentially feel like opposites but the same, at the same time.It almost looks like a painting, fitting considering how one of the game's major theme is that.
I also like Minish cap and Wind Waker "rough drawing" style for the artworks. I love how much variety there is in various games.

Maybe it's fun with couch coop, I've only done the Anniversary Edition.I want to play Four Sword in co-op eventually.
How do you find the game, is it fun for multiplayer?

Damn, why Nintendo doesn't add FSA on the NSO asap? Actually they should add more MP focused games just for the online.
And the Master Sword sleeps again. . .
The NES (Famicom, being obviously more 80s anime...more or less) duology artstyle hits very different.
Zelda II had a slightly more serious style but I agree. The NES (Famicom, being obviously more 80s anime...more or less) duology artstyle hits very different.
Are we talking about Ocarina of Time? It lost all "seriousness" to me once they had me playing as a kid. The only serious ones I've played were Zelda II and Twilight Princess and I much prefer the approach of those games personally. Though I'm not against Nintendo trying different things and different styles, especially in a franchise with so many entries.Zelda II had a slightly more serious style but I agree.
The ALTTP/LA duology is more like 90's anime (but still anime nonetheless).
So when people say "Zelda has to look serious/more realistic instead of cartoony/lighthearted looking" they're ignoring how the franchise started artistically. In fact the N64 game having a more serious look was the actual "anomaly" in there and not really Wind Waker (that just happened to go back to the NES/SNES era of colours even if it's more western-oriented than anime).
You're aware that Link is a kid in like 90% of the series right? Also you become an adult after 1/3rd of the game. Are we talking about Ocarina of Time? It lost all "seriousness" to me once they had me playing as a kid.
I'm not sure what you mean by "serious" because Zelda II felt similar to Zelda 1.The only serious ones I've played were Zelda II and Twilight Princess and I much prefer the approach of those games personally.
Yeah, Castlevania itself had several art styles through its existence.Though I'm not against Nintendo trying different things and different styles, especially in a franchise with so many entries.
I forgot which but aren't there guides?God, how much as been since Echoes of Wisdom has been released? I'm still stuck in the Goron dungeon and it's basically the only game I have left to beat of the franchise.Beside the Tingle ones but don't let me think about it.
Yes, but I rather wanna figure stuff for myself. BOTW and especially TOTK are games (even if, to be fair, different by all the other games and much easier on the dungeons/puzzles since they give you much more freedom) I've beat without using any guide.I forgot which but aren't there guides?
Have you done FS, FSA and TFH? Those are my remaining top down entries.
I've also done the anniversary edition of FS...Yes, but I rather wanna figure stuff for myself. BOTW and especially TOTK are games (even if, to be fair, different by all the other games and much easier on the dungeons/puzzles since they give you much more freedom) I've beat without using any guide.
And, to reply to you: .....oh, damn it, you're right. I still need to beat Triforce Heroes once. But I did beat FS (both og and DSi) and FSA.
