Want a multi-console emulator for your phone but don't want to deal with configuring for half an hour settings to play for five minutes, or simply your device is not compatible?

Try Lemuroid, Lemuroid is basically Retroarch in Android where all the headaches were solved for you, all you need to do is install (Be from the APK or the Playstore), set the ROM directory, wait for the scan to end and DOJAAAAAAAAN, your collection is set, the app isn't perse an emulator, but a front end for most emulators, so their limitations are there as well as their strenghts, kinda clumsy to configure the touch controllers (Responds fine with Joypads) but is a nice all-in-one

PROS
Easy to use
Nice responsiveness
lightweight
Nice menu interface
Touch controls look elegant and has multi press zones
Free and zero ads (Most apps lie in that regard, but here they deliver)

CONS
Limited options
Setting Joypad controllers is odd
Arcade Support is limited
Screen can't be adjusted
No turbo buttons
Fast Forward is curbersome

Too bad there is no Playstation 2 emulator included and how good does the device have to be for this emulator?

It is questionable decision to let your game's perfomance be hampered for the sake temporary relaxation.
Individual emulators will always triumph over the stockpiles. And taking "extra 30 minutes" will pay it's due in time.

I agree with you and I use mostly standalone emulators, but sadly sometimes an emulator is only available as a Retroarch core or similar, for example genesis-plus-gx or Mednafen Saturn emulator.

I liked Lemuroid a lot too but recently I noticed it seems to be always running in the background even after restarting my tablet. That was enough for me to uninstall it. It should have no reason to be running in the background when I'm not using it. Maybe older versions don't do that but the version I had was.

Could be collecting info like most apps do these days or perhaps it's something like maintaining app in the background for faster relaunching?

Um what, you do know you can force stop an app. Unless you got bad juju on your device.

i installed this one in a weak tablet, (A7) can run up to psp with this. but performance is better using ppsspp and duckstation than using lemuroid. NDS game runs bad too.

so it is good to play the older things and having one or two standalone emulators for the "newer" consoles.

also, the initial post dont mention it, but lemuroid needs BIOS.

just press the "recent" apps button (the one that is along the 'home' and 'back') and everything will be there. you just swipe and kill it like any other aplication.

From The International House of Mojo.
Well, that house of mojo needs to realise it's karma is going to catch up with itself. It can run on for a long time, run on for a long time, run on for a long time but sooner or later........
