Surely it is, right? It doesn't feel that old to me since it's modern-ish. The SNES was considered retro when the Wii came out, and that was a gap of 15 years worldwide between the launch of both systems. From the launch of the 3DS to the launch of the Switch 2 there's a 14 year gap. Console generations are just longer now compared to the 90s.Considering that the 3DS is like 14 years old (a bit younger than the SNES was when the Wii launched) is it a retro console?
TBH, it would probably be better if you got the Mega Everdrive Pro if you wanna play Mega CD titlesModel 1 Mega Drive, Model 1 Master System, a (decent) Famiclone and I have a GameBoy Color somewhere but I can't find it, would LOVE to own a Model 1 Mega CD and Saturn but it's having somewhere to store them plus I've gotta be honest with myself: As much as I love old hardware it is just that now...OLD hardware, keeping them maintained etc is expensive and I'd rather not mess around with all that when I can just run everything on my PC with USB controllers.
Yeah I considered that too but if I were to play them I'd prefer an original Mega CD although that would be a lot more convenient.TBH, it would probably be better if you got the Mega Everdrive Pro if you wanna play Mega CD titles
As I said...emulation, it's just easier, all the consoles/computers I want on one system with no disc rot to deal with or anything along those lines. I'd been tinkering with original hardware for years from the age of 12 in the year 2000 so that stuff was getting on in age back then, now we're talking an extra 26 years of age on these components.Yeah I considered that too but if I were to play them I'd prefer an original Mega CD although that would be a lot more convenient.
