What is the best gaming frontend on a PC?

what's a frontend?
oh... i just play emulators directly, i don't like using other apps to open apps really.
plus every emulator is setup extremely different, i like them being seperate, way less confusing to me.
i use retroarch on my android phone since it's much more annoying to have individuall apps on a phone.

Steam and Retroarch and best part Retroarch is 100% free even when you wanna customize your front end. And it´s easy to use just download a core and play.

I did Launchbox for a very long time, mostly because I love looking at box art.

This is more of an OS featuring a customized frontend (that being Emulation Station), but I use Batocera on my emulation PC mini. The simplicity of it makes me happy
