What God of War clone you consider better than the original franchise? Be it either era.

None, not even heavenly sword comes close to gow ascension if i'm being honest, the other two who could have been good contenders are x-men origins wolverine and deadpool 2013, perhaps no more heroes on the switch, but on wii it controls totally different, much like madworld.

Also dante's inferno on the 360/ps3 might be good, but it's sucks on the psp, one of the few ign reviews were i agree with the given score, doesn't help that unlike dead space, it never came to pc.

The only god of war clones I see among those images are Dante's Inferno and Ghost Roder, so I'm going to talk only about them... None of them are superior. Now, leaving aside the "clone" part... nop, none of them are superior. Except, maybe mad world, cause I've never played it, so I have no opinion.

I did like Dante's Inferno from what little I played (my 360 got borked mid playthrough), even though the gameplay style isn't my cup of tea.

The strong symbolism really carries it.

Ghost Rider and Dante's Inferno come the closest, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Dante.
Something about traversing through the tower speaks to me.
My main complaint is that I wanted the devil goons to actually look like those classical paintings and illustrations, hell even just making them look like the Krumpus would have made me a very happy camper.

Nice. Just keep in mind the "god" version is the ps3/360 versión. Ps2 versión is good, but not better.

You're right. Darksiders is actually a bit more like God of War.

Ah... I was gunning for the PS2 version to conserve storage.. what are the major differences? Aside from the obvious violence, are the mechanics or levels different?

You can do motion controls for all No More Heroes games on Switch. The joycons work exactly identical to how the respective Wii originals did for the first two game. Though the gyro controls make them even more responsive.

Yeah, but the first No More Heroes also has a bunch of weird quirks that makes it an oddball in the hack and slash genre (which isn't surprising, since the game was directed and written by Suda51, the same guy who created games like Killer7, Flower, Sun, and Rain, The Silver Case, and Moonlight Syndrome, these games I just mentioned are really weird and unique)

No More Heroes 2, on the other hand, is a lot more like a typical hack and slash game (I haven't played either Travis Strikes Again or No More Heroes 3, so I can't comment on them).
