Twitter sucked so hard that I needed something else to be consistently active on, and one day when I was browsing CDromance I suddenly saw a "Forum" section and I got curious. Lurked around for a while until I finally decided to be more regularly active by around February-March of last year.

This is the only forum I know of which heavily focus on video game discussions, compared to other similar sites where political posts or other trivial topic (as in, everything else outside of entertainment media) filled like 50% of the threads, here at least, such things are being dealt with relatively fast by my standard.

Also I'd rather read a horribly bad take translated to Chinese then translated to Spanish then translated back to English, written in a broken grammar, filled with subjective opinion and plainly wrong factual info as long as it is about games, I don't have to agree with it but at least I can get a chuckle of out of it.
I live under a rock, couldn't care less about whatever happens with the world outside.

I remember that Xkai recommended me Mega Man 7 and Mega Man & Bass when i beaten the 6 NES games.
And yeah, these games are nice.

I'd come to rely on the site over the years, so once it switched to private access, I joined up without a moment's hesitation... And that's when I became aware this part of it even existed.

I ended up engaging with it just because I've gotten kind of sick of social media - they're all a pain now, and even information-focused Reddit is very caustic. I didn't realize how much I missed forums until I just had a conversation here and nobody immediately downvoted it or told me to ask on Google.

Maybe it's just because you guys in particular are better, I dunno'. I'd like to think there's a better atmosphere here across the board though.
