What did you play today?

100%!
My little brother is 9 years younger than me, and a decade ago when he was 10-11 I showed him Dragon Ball for the first time and he got hooked and read all the 42 volumes I collected as a kid in a few months. It was really fun and special getting to share that with him.
That’s awesome dude! Grats on that :)

I'm still working so i only play Granblue Fantasy (a gacha game).
Planning to play WWE2K17 or Tekken DR on my PS3 tonight.

Been playing Final Fantasy 3 for over a week now , didnt get to play yesterday but i sure will do Today so far Final Fantasy 3 is the oldest game i played dating back to 1990

Unfortunately a bit boring.

Today I plugged my PS4 back in again, and booted up Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.

I had sort of forgot that I bought it ages ago on a whim because it was on a big sale for like the first time, and I hadn't played any Yakuza games back then so I was kind of confused to the gameplay. I had my save from 2020 still on the console so I got back into that and rewatched a few cutscenes so that I didn't have to redo the boring tutorial.
I just met Bat and got the car, and I'm really enjoying it so far.

(PS I only just noticed that this thread was un-sticked. Why is that? Similar threads on other subforums are sticked.)

Trucking along in the Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster. I got my skell so the game's opened up more which is good because I think the exploration is its strongest asset. I really wish they brough back them back for the later games. And I'm still pretty pissed they got rid of cosmetic armor because I really hate the character designs in 2 (less so 3, but the option would still be nice)

It's kind of ironic Xenoblade became one of Nintendo's larger franchises in the Switch era given how niche the games feel, even by JRPG standards. (Probably in part due to 2 giving the series a signal boost when everyone else was done playing Mario Odyssey in late 2017). I definitely wouldn't have thought so waiting desperately for 1 to get confirmed back in high school. Personally I'm ready for the franchise to take a rest while Monolith focuses on something new. How about a Xenogears remake... anyone.... hello...? ::peek

Hung out with some friends today, we ate yakiniku beef bowls and played Mario Party 3. It was super fun and incredibly hectic because the stupid Daisy AI kept doing incredible strats to steal our stars.

I've been trying King's Field IV for a couple of days, pretty neat atmosphere and rewarding exploration, but I just got to that central multi-floor tower part and starting to feel lazy about keeping playing, mostly because the slooooow turning camera ends up exhausting me

I 1cc'd Zanac Neo. Not a huge accomplishment because 1-ups are handed out like candy, but it still took some practice.

Rockman EXE Operate Shooting Star, aka EXEOSS. It's insane how seemingly small changes can improve the experience so drastically.

I played some random MegaDrive games, a new Danganronpa-esque VN/Hybrid on switch, and some game called Moving Houses which was the "Too Many Cooks" of weird sim games.

Just a few more minutes of Ace Combat 2 (PSX), you have to beat it twice to get all the missions. Next stop Electrosphere.
Electrosphere is such a great game; I hope you enjoy it!

I started playing Super Metroid for the first time, today. I'd say I hope it doesn't suffer much from the "bomb the living hell out of everything, because mandatory destructible tiles will not be obvious" that I dislike Fusion for, but I have a sinking feeling it does. The game's atmosphere is lovely, though. I greatly prefer the Castlevania half of the genre, but Metroid really has something special that other games fail to capture.

Spent the night at an airport, still waiting for my flight home.
Hardly any sleep, but Dead or Alive 5, Soulcalibur 2, 3, 4, Kakutou Bijin Wulong, Resident Evil 0, Tenchu z, The Oneechanbara.
Tried GTA3 but that actually nearly put me to sleep.

That's gonna take a while, I just realized I have to beat Ace Combat 2 four times for all the missions😅. For Super Metroid you can always wait till you get the X-ray scope to do the real exploration, enjoy the killer soundtrack🍻

I just beat King's Field IV for the first time today, loved the experience. Will try KF2 and 3 down the line, also Shadow Tower: Abyss and Eternal Ring, but I'll go play something more light now
