May the gods hear youTrucking along in the Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster. I got my skell so the game's opened up more which is good because I think the exploration is its strongest asset. I really wish they brough back them back for the later games. And I'm still pretty pissed they got rid of cosmetic armor because I really hate the character designs in 2 (less so 3, but the option would still be nice)
It's kind of ironic Xenoblade became one of Nintendo's larger franchises in the Switch era given how niche the games feel, even by JRPG standards. (Probably in part due to 2 giving the series a signal boost when everyone else was done playing Mario Odyssey in late 2017). I definitely wouldn't have thought so waiting desperately for 1 to get confirmed back in high school. Personally I'm ready for the franchise to take a rest while Monolith focuses on something new. How about a Xenogears remake... anyone.... hello...?![]()
Electrosphere is such a great game; I hope you enjoy it!Just a few more minutes of Ace Combat 2 (PSX), you have to beat it twice to get all the missions. Next stop Electrosphere.
That's gonna take a while, I just realized I have to beat Ace Combat 2 four times for all the missionsElectrosphere is such a great game; I hope you enjoy it!
I started playing Super Metroid for the first time, today. I'd say I hope it doesn't suffer much from the "bomb the living hell out of everything, because mandatory destructible tiles will not be obvious" that I dislike Fusion for, but I have a sinking feeling it does. The game's atmosphere is lovely, though. I greatly prefer the Castlevania half of the genre, but Metroid really has something special that other games fail to capture.
. For Super Metroid you can always wait till you get the X-ray scope to do the real exploration, enjoy the killer soundtrack
You should try Shadow x Generations, that game is what Frontiers basically should have been, coupled with the same smooth controls but the game overall being just about right playtime and with far more varied stagesI finally got to try Sonic Frontiers through my brother's PS Plus while catsitting for him.
Man, this game BLOWS. Everything about it just feels completely pointless. I get that they were going for a sort of sandbox experience, but when every single challenge is a little jumping puzzle or some inane matching minigame, or a really weird fight, it just feels completely hollow. Combined with a truly dogshit nothing of a story, a bland PS3-inspired world, and an incredibly weird and serious presentation who dripfeeds the already nothing plot to you in just about the worst ways possible, and a really sad attempt at a soundtrack (the techno cyberspace music was overall pretty neat, but the collecting of old music to replace the ambient OST just made it feel even more soulless), it's almost offensively boring.
It's on my list! Not sure when I'll get around to it, though, but hopefully one day.You should try Shadow x Generations
Controls differently, and has abilities like chaos control, the mini-hub that's similar to Frontiers but less bloated and more downsized. And yeah, if you liked Generations, it's basically more of that (and a good OST to boot)I liked original Generations but I hear the new Shadow stuff is way different?
Not a big Sonic fan but from what I saw it looked like the worlds were huge and empty with a bunch of typical Sonic obstacles (rails, jump/speed pads, etc) strewn about. It also seems like a massive missed opportunity to design the islands as generic biomes rather than themes like casino/carnival/city/what have you.I finally got to try Sonic Frontiers through my brother's PS Plus while catsitting for him.

HOWEVER, the controls are just top-notch. Easily the slickest controls in a 3D Sonic game I've ever played, and the movement in and of itself is insanely addictive, so I endured six or seven hours of the game (got to Tails' island) just messing around with the movement until I really couldn't take it anymore.
