What did you learn today? ?

Sometimes you gotta force it. Something small like a banana at least, just to get you going

That’s really true.

That staying up to 5am to finish GTA 4 and then waking up at 2pm probably isn’t a good idea…

It’s ok so long it’s gta 4.
Today I learned you can still feel a game is a ten/ten even if the flaws it has makes it closer to a 6/10 (hundred line defense academy)

Today I learnt that my laptop will take 5 times longer to boot if the CMOS battery is dead.

And that I cannot find this specific CR2032 (which is wired differently from the usual DELL and ACER batteries) part new anywhere on the usual webstores. Gosh darn Clevo gaming laptop argh.

I also learnt that Cloudflare security used on websites syncs with the time on your computer. If it's wrong it won't pass the security check. Also also that I have to manually restart windows time services since sometimes it just plain won't start. God this operating system and hardware brought to its knees from a single button cell wtf.

i keep up with global politics and current affairs
but only today i learned who the leader of my own country is
and it still means nothing to me

i learned how to convert a markdown document to a PDF using pandoc, and to perform said task i had to learn how to install a docker container, now i can have my pc notes on the go!

I learned today how far VR has come today. Though I'd need a a lot better PC. For science!

This also exists and it feels like every 90's and 00's developer had it. Try to find a sample your favorite game uses!

The "Headshot" map in Metroid Prime Hunters uses the "Head-Injury" sample. I found a 20 year old developer in-joke.

I used Delta Patcher for the first time to apply anti-blur & depth of field fix to Disaster Report PS2 since there are no built-in patches to PCSX2 itself, it really did a number on the eyes before without it, the results are awesome:

Bad idea, really bad idea honestly.

Yes, I learned again today that you should never underestimate children when playing Street Fighter.
