What did you learn today? ?

I learned that at the Usui Railway Museum in Japan that it allows you operate a train, though you have to be able to read and speak Japanese, as well as actually having an address in Japan.

You can play pokemon yellow, gold and silver on an original Gameboy:

Many early GBC titles had DB compatibility.

It's quite surreal to see GS in B&W.

Crystal is the GBC exclusive one I think.

yeah, crystal is exclusive to the gameboy color and gba. it won't load if you put it in a regular gameboy or gameboy pocket.

At least it's nice how many GBC games are still playable for those who couldn't afford one.

That Gingerdead Man 1 wasn't as fun as people said it was, I don't even think it deserves to be in the shitty horror film hall of fame when it’s sequel is far better.

That there is no actual tried and true method to hard boiling eggs. It's all confirmation bias. The only truth is that they have shells, and we have hands.

i learned today while playing minecraft and checking the wiki for some info; that beehives in the game that spawn naturally will always face south. i now know that my fortress base is facing west.

I learned how to not use a washing machine by watching a man stuff a comforter in with a tide pod pressed directly against the glass, which he then stood there in angered disbelief as all that did was make a soap swirl on the glass, which then caused him to try and pull the door open while it was running and locked, until it finally opened and prompted him to fully close the door (apparently he almost got it open despite it being locked?). He then took the comforter out and said there must not be enough water, so he took someone else's clothes out of another washing machine and set them on top of a dryer, despite there being five other free washing machines. I *think* he got that one to work, but by that point my clothes were dry, so I just shuffled myself on out of there.

Reminds me of when my sister over flowed the mashing machine (more then once), so badly it started leaking.

I learned that when I sing with words it makes full sounds

I learned to feel, apparently.

I genuinely realised today that deodorant was de-odorant, like it de-odors you.
I feel like such an idiot not realizing this after how long I've been on this planet...
I thought it was just a name for the product.

Well, atleast I know why toothpaste has it's name. I think....

That my comfort zone is actually very limited.
It is a game of delicate balances.

I feel like, if it was called deoderer, instead of deoderant, it would have been more obvious.
Where I live people mostly just call it "deo" for short, barely anyone will say 'deoderant' in its entirely.

Crows don’t actually like shiny things, their more likely to be frightened by them

In mediaeval times people were able to get away with not regularly washing their hair by dispersing the natural oils in hair with regular thorough combing with fine combs (also one of the best ways to get rid of lice), then tying it up.

Been getting into rollerblading - I did not know it worked out the arms so much, till my upper arm was horribly aching the next day.
