The Lights Are On, But
with around 3000 games, that's still a batting average of 750 non-shovelware games worth digging into.
that's a better library than MOST consoles.
It’s rather interesting digging through it

I'd argue that even if it's around a PS1 (well technically closer to a N64 in term of processor). Aside from space the game could handle Resident Evil and Rayman 2.The DS... Is no better than a PS1, probably weaker, weak 3D graphics abilities, two screens (or one screen cut in half) and is too damn small.
That's my overall review.
I'd argue also that even if there are shovelwares (like most popular consoles like how the PS1, PS2 and Wii had) you still had plenty of actual good games. It would be better if 3/4 of its games weren't shovelware.
And technically also Diddy Kong racing and Mario 64I'd argue that even if it's around a PS1 (well technically closer to a N64 in term of processor). Aside from space the game could handle Resident Evil and Rayman 2.
Mario 64 isn't perfect but quite impressive. And technically also Diddy Kong racing and Mario 64
The DS LEGO games are the closest thing we have to more collectathon ds gamesMario 64 isn't perfect but quite impressive.
I kinda wish we got more games of the style.
Beautyfully said.It is not just a device. It's a place. A safe one at that.
Never heard of these games, first time I even see them! Will play it out of curiosity.Battle of Giants Mutant Insects - AAA touchscreen game.
Dead'n'Furious - light gun nervously smoking in the corner.
Well those are probably the weakest of the bunch, but still impressed me cause I'm used to touchscreen games being unplayable.Never heard of these games, first time I even see them! Will play it out of curiosity.

I forgot that there was a DS port of this one.I just look at some of the ports and games, and using Chocobo Dungeon as a baseline.
Resolution itself isn't directly correlated but the draw distance is important though. When your screen resolution is 240x180, almost any 3D game will run, because there's very little to draw, and accuracy isn't important either, so fast integer math can be used.

Thank you, Gundam OO is such a beautyBeautyfully said.
Also, amazing signature.
Nah that's fine, I play most of my DS games on my New 3DS XL anyways, if you have something to say about it, comment!I feel that I'm missing the experience by having a New 2DS XL but if the game is good it's good regardless.
Somehow I don't like the look of DS games on a 3DS family console...Nah that's fine, I play most of my DS games on my New 3DS XL anyways, if you have something to say about it, comment!
Blurry? You can say that the upscaled aspect ratio makes it crunchy, but I never had an issue of not reading the text in a game.Somehow I don't like the look of DS games on a 3DS family console...
Maybe it's just me but it's a bit blurry.
Adore the DS family, It was my first console and up to this day I still love playing with my DS (although my old one was stolen) and it's a shame that there probably wont be anything like the DS era again or that. Hope that I'll continue to play a lot more DS in the future and play titles in Japanese some dayView attachment 14732
Simple thread, I want to hear what RGT has to say about the console. I'll be up front, I'm writing a article on the DS and I want to hear what the people think about the handheld, it will help me to write a more concise article.
the upscaling is very poor, if you press start or select while booting a DS or GBA game it'll boot it up in its native resolution but it leaves a ton of blank space on the screen afterwardsSomehow I don't like the look of DS games on a 3DS family console...
Maybe it's just me but it's a bit blurry.
