The Inn -- General Gaming Chat

idk, I kinda like DMC2, sure it's not very good, but it's pretty funny in just how bad it is, certified kusoge and since it's not very hard it's really not that annoying to get through
Good to hear that you're enjoying this game. Once you beat it, you will unlock one of the worst costumes i've ever seen in a video game ::eggmanlaugh

oh yeah, that costume is so gloriously stupid lol, I love it so much, but i wasnt the person who posted that they were starting DMC2, I beat DMC2 like 2 or so years ago and honestly kinda liked it more than DMC1.

Obviously, DMC1 is a vastly superior game and I would never recommend DMC2 over 1 to any normal person, but for me personally I dug DMC2's trashiness more than DMC1's actually good and polished game design

I finally beat Control.
Very nice game when it come to mechanics, pretty good fast and intense combat/shooting scenarios. Lacks a little in variety of enemies, and good physics/destroy/surround objects in places in general.

Also cool psychic/Abilities for accomplishments/endowments,
Lack of main bosses/creatures, optional/optimal for me in my case/situation.

The story is not bad, but the characters sucks in my opinion, especially the main protagonist, very forgettable. I only appreciate the janitor among all of them. The best character is the universe of Control Itself, the weird/technological/esoteric world that lives in the Bureau as a disease/infected.

Some specifics characters like the Director, have a monotone/repetitive/dry emotion dialogue. I don't like that/never will.

I think those who love Alan Wake can enjoy this a lot more.
Don't care/satisfied/agree with the hiss/me.

In my Jiggly rank: 7,2 ::bigboss

I have been eyeing a little gem called "Where Time Stood Still".

I don't know anything about it, but it was apparently very popular at the time and, well, you fight dinosaurs or something — count me in.

I started Vice City again, hoping to finish it this time; the gunplay is getting to my nerves.
I still remember the first time I ever played it. Damn near blew my fucking socks off as someone who has a huge love for 80's culture. That being said, it's still incredibly ROUGH in some places (mainly gunplay like you mentioned) and a lot of that I think has to do with it being a slightly more improved version of GTA 3

The crappy gunplay gets all kinds of annoying in San Andreas though

From the looks of it, looks like a P&C game ALA Sam & Max, Monkey island, Wallace & Gromit, Tangle Tower and Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, I might check it out, thx for the rec. :)

i keep rediscovering how big my gaming backlog is and keep getting this sense of obligation to play everything. this is on top of my other backlogs. i guess its better to not rush.

MOUSE P.I for hire releases tomorrow, i've been hyped for it since its release trailer, i hope it gets a release discount

I haven't touched my Switch since I beat Echoes of Wisdom. But damn it, I don't want to buy anymore joycons. But I need to play Bravely Default II.

Personally I’m trying to beat xenoblade on it. After that, I’ve nothing to play probably?

Apart from that I'm gonna borrow Metroid Prime from a friend, I still really want to get Xenoblade X and hunker down with it full-time for a while (it's still pricey though), but after that I think I'm feeling pretty done with my time with the system too.
Apart from Tactics Ogre and Dragon Quest III (both of which I haven't beat) I haven't really used it at all except as an Animal Crossing machine lol

Wait... Are JoyCons really that bad? Cuz I have been hearing that an awful lot.

I bought my Switch in 2019 and I'm on my 4th pair of joycons. The sticks are absolute trash.

Sure, I can mail them in, but I'm too lazy to get them fixed for free so I'd rather spend money and then complain on the internet.

Damn, that's rough.
I bought an extra pair (the neon yellow ones) maybe a year and a half after I got mine (late 2017) because I thought they looked cool, and when I tried using my original gray ones after a while they had gotten mad drift...literally from not being used! No matter how thoroughly I cleaned em they just wouldn't return to normal.

They're pretty small and flimsy, yeah. I think the worst part is that since they're technically two separate controllers, when using them together you don't have a d-pad, but a weird 4-face-button replacement that feels incredibly awkward to use, especially in fast-paced situations, or just as navigation.

Woah... That's awful.

It's like they took a look at the N64 controller and decided that it wasn't shitty enough — looks remarkably cheap, too (I have seen them in person, but never held them).

They have a weird texture that I think is kind of oddly satisfying, but in general they -- along with the entire console for me, really -- just feel like kind of a lame compromise of not quite being a handheld and not quite being a full-on home console.
The Pro Controller was pretty good, though, but that's a whole other investment in and of itself.

Very interesting!

You know... Your earlier post was messing with my head a bit because the image looked madly familiar to me, and that's because it looks a LOT like an Ouya controller.

Damn, Nintendo.

The Wiimote had a "firmer" feel in your hand.

The only thing that has been better was the softer edges when in horizontal mode but the buttons truly are too small.
