While I do miss Donkey Kong since he only showed up in 2 seconds in the second movie. I just felt Seth Rogen doesn't fit the voice for Donkey Kong with that Seth Rogen laugh.
Since I haven't seen them in English I didn't know. I assumed he had some drama so that they had to remove DK from the sequel.

I don't mean that 80s music is dated. After all, the 80s is still awesome. How many kids films need to have "I need a hero"? It's being overplayed too much. I would prefer Danger Zone during the training montage instead.
I agree on that one but it made it sound like the 80's were.

And yeah. Maybe I was over exaggerating about the pacing. I should watch it again when it's on digital/physical and maybe the pacing will be just normal.
The movie was quite long (I think even some parts could've been cut short a bit.

trying for the first time Super Mario galaxy with the 3D all star compilation.

Not dissapointed, it plays quite well and the level design is neat.

The compilation was a bit lazy but I welcome the removal of the necessity to use motion control in Galaxy.

Still with Sunshine got remade instead.

You know what's funny? People absolutely lose their shit when I tell them that I only like the original game that came bundled with Duck Hunt and nothing else, as if that wasn't a valid opinion to have XD

I want to play Super Mario 64 DS, Super Princess Peach and NSMB again. I don't know if I would do it on a 2DS XL with a linker or on MelonDS

I will also do Newer SMB and that one basketball Mario game on the DS.

Classic.

3 is my Mario Bros GOAT game but I actually do like 2, even though it’s a pain in the ass. Thank goodness for Peach being able to float for a bit, that has saved me plenty of times.

Still wish we got more footages and perhaps a leaked ROM of the beta of NSMB

Back when New Super Mario Bros was truly new

I'll always defend that one (and 64 DS even if it had flaws).

I've finally found an old video I've seen when I was younger but couldn't remember where it was from

The only thing missing is the girl playing before that died on the first goomba but at least I've found the main comedy part of the sketch.

Found the original on Nico²

Another one I liked

I need to replay Mari0 someday

If you have favourite SMB fangames tell me (aside from Super Mario Bros. X)

Crazy idea! What if there was a classic style Mario game but instead you're running to the LEFT?

I need to try PC ports of Mario 64 someday.
I was playing the vita port for a bit recently and it's still taking me some time to get used to a freeform camera system on the right stick lol. I'm too used to it ratcheting around and having to switch to the over-the-shoulder camera, and I keep being shocked by places I'm used to automatic camera movements that now don't have it at all. I think all of this is editable in the settings tho

I've downloaded Ghostship's latest release. I do like the free camera (which was like the only thing I really think it hasn't aged the best in this entry to the point it's also one of the strongest points about the DS version).

Not sure if Coop DX is that good as a PC port...

I've actually got something very important to say on this topic:

Do the Mario!
Swing your arms from side to side
Come on, it's time to go!
Do the Mario!
Take one step, and then again
Let's do the Mario, all together now!

My favorite 3D Mario game is Sunshine. I just love the vibes, always have ever since the Gamecube days.

I need new joycons...

I need to finish this game for summer.

I still wish it got "fixed" in the 3D All Star version.

Welp, gotta choose between all 3

I think I'll just try each.
I like Plus.

However there's a change of plan, I will probably do Sunshine (with widescreen + 60 FPS cheat codes) with my gamepad first.

Update: I've had the 7 Shinesprites in the first four areas.

I forgot how Sunshine only had seven separate courses compared to 64's 15 (although many are reusing assets and themes).

Finished Sunshine! That last level was literal Hell!

It's a game I fondly remember with nostalgia although it's not as great as 64 was for its time but is still worth visiting (pun intended) and I miss when Nintendo wanted to give us unique enemies and bosses instead of recycling Bowser's army... This is also why I liked Mario Land 1&2's bestiary.

Some missions felt a bit uninspired (I know that Il Piantissimo is just Koopa the Quick and that the 8 Red Coins is a staple of the series but I wish bosses were the last Episode of their respective worlds and I hated the "secrets" type of levels).

Next time I play the game I'll probably do SunBurn (Eclipse is cool but took many "liberties" so that it feels almost like a different game with Sunshine included).

I'm glad people "fixed" the game as much as I wish we got an official remake by Nintendo.

I ended up sticking to Super Mario 64 Plus because I liked the options in it.

Whether it's Mario Sunshine with Eclipse/Sunburn or Mario 64 with Ghostship/Plus/Coop DX I'm glad to see QoL improvements for these

I've finished with 82 power stars

(Notice the "old school" Mario palette).
