Guys why NO ONE mentioned Blue Revolver??? It's literally the best modern shmup I will advice anyone new to the genre to try it's so good I'm gonna quote my pastself "Scoring in that game feels like caffiene"

I loved Blue Revolver too! Flying Red Barrel: Diary of a Little Aviator from Orange_Juice also invokes a similar drug like feeling with it's scoring system, try giving it a shot one day

the artstyle is also adorable in a way.
