This emulator died a few months ago, and the updates are just quality of life updates. I don't know if they will ever resume the improvements and compatibility :(
This is the only fork emulator I've seen with updates haven't heard from Eden or Sudachi

Is this a Nintendo Switch emulator ?

I believe they are adding some stuff not related to the code itself. It's been really quiet this year, since they declared the emulator deceased :(

And by the way, the specs of the emulator are quite light. I play it docked mode, native resolution in a Ryzen 3 1300X (OC to 3,9Ghz), 16GB of RAM and a RX470 4GB. All of that together with the SSD and the case costed me less than a second hand Switch.

How good does the PC have to be for this emulator ?
What are your system specs?
My specs are Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Radeon XFX 7800 XT, 32GB @3600mhz, some minor hiccups but not bad. Your mileage may vary. It compiles shaders in the background.

I have a Acer Nitro 5 AN517 Gaming Laptop
Intel Core i5- 12500H 12× 1.8 - 4.5 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU 6 GB VRAM
16 GB RAM , DDR5-4800, Dual-Channel

You could test it out on your laptop, I don't see why not.

Huh, I've just been using the last official Ryujinx release, which thus far has been fine (although I don't use it too often).

On October 1st 2024, Ryujinx was discontinued as the creator was forced to abandon the project.
This fork is intended to be a QoL uplift for existing Ryujinx users.
This is not a Ryujinx revival project. This is not a Phoenix project.
It looks like this release does have more than their description would let on, I was expecting just UI changes

well here's my hardware: GTX1050ti, 8GB DDR2 RAM (terrible and this is the BIGGEST issue for me)
intel i5 8th gen, dell G3 gaming laptop
most games run fine for me, the following just work (on Yuzu emulator anyways)
DK country returns
groove coaster waiwai party
kirby forgotten land, star allies, return to dreamland
Zelda echoes of wisdom, links awakening, skyward sword
mario kart 8 deluxe
mario wonder, odyssey, RPG,
paper mario thousand year door
metroid dread, and prime remastered
nintendo world championships
Pikmin 1 through 4
samba de amigo party central
smash bros ultimate
xenoblade X definitive (this magically runs so damn good idk how)

princess peach showtime only works for me on ryujinx but load so long, but playable otherwise.

bayonetta 3, this takes so much to get it working, much setting tweaks and even then it'll randomly close, good thing it autosaves quite often.

xenoblade 2 weird graphics issues that i couldn't fix

zelda breath of the wild runs BETTER on CEMU the wiiU emulator, MUCH MUCH better, even at 4k 60 and all sorts of graphics settings scaled up.

but anyways for me the 8GB ram is terrible, if you got more than that 16 is twice mine.
but anything better than a GTX1050ti will work fine.
just remember to tweak settings, it'll be different per game, so customize them as needed.
most cases graphics at VULKAN is faster, if you can use vulkan use it, if any issues arise swap to openGL

you absolutely have the hardware for switch emulation, i expect no issues LOL

whats the best mac switch emulator currently?

Let's not make it any easier than it already is to N. Sorry guys, I'm tiding this up a bit.

Update your forum rules then, and be clear about the direction you're taking.

I'm here for the links and the roms. Start censoring and removing them and I'll be gone.

Ryujinx been long gone my friend. Try suyu or Citron those work the best on a Steam Deck.

I played Super Mario Odyssey on Yuzu, with only my CPU Ryzen 3200g, the Vega 8 igpu it has, and 16gb of ram.
Some areas where somewhat slow but the game was really playable except for that and some shader stutter whenever there were new shaders.

You absolutely don't have DDR2 RAM lol. Not even DDR3, if you've got i5 8th gen your PC has got DDR4, probably 2133-2400Mhz.

Anyways, single or dual channel it does not matter, as you have a CPU and GPU more than enough to run Switch emulator up to 1080p without issues for most games.

In your case, using those 16GB in dual channel makes the difference. The iGPU from 3200g is good enough for Switch emulation without much trouble, but as you say shaders are the Achilles heel of modern platforms emulation, you're going to face hiccups the first time no matter how beefy is your PC, until devs find a way to avoid that in the future making the emulators do all the shit in the background in advance.

I think the compiling of shaders use CPU threads, and with only for cores without multithreading...
There's also the starving of memory bandwith with an igpu compared to a dedicated one, and AMD shader compiler has bugs and don't have the performance of Nvidia.

Despite all that I could play it ::winkfelix

Yeah, CPU is important in compiling shaders, but a Ryzen 3200G is quite capable. With that you can emulate everything but PS360. Of course, a Ryzen 3400G would have some noticeable improvements, but my CPU is a Ryzen 1300X which is a little bit slower than yours and I am very satisfied :). Have you ever overclocked it to 4Ghz? I believe it is a safe overclock for that specific CPU, like 3,9Ghz for mine, and I noticed an improvement overall. Even in summer, which is around 30-32ºC here there is no overheat problem, because it's a safe overclock.
