Well honestly, was there ever a reason to expect anything like that?So how many of you were sad that F Zero wasn't the launch title?

No my comment was a joke, I'm just surprised Mario Kart was the launch title.Well honestly, was there ever a reason to expect anything like that?
This could be it, then. Because companies are going to charge what they can get away with. But that isn't a Nintendo-specific problem, if you looked at the markup on basically anything you'd be shocked and it would seem like it could be lower. It's the lovely system that makes the world go 'round, sadly.Everything has an objective price, because it has to be made from scratch and that has a price. But it's ok, I think I failed to make myself understood :(
The problem is that multiplatform games usually never favour the weakest system, because devs try to push too much the game for it to compensate the quality loss for the powerful platforms that the game ends having lots of framerate issues (and now I can't imagine what would happen for games made with Unreal Engine 5 on Switch 2).The only thing I'm glad for is multiplatform games potentially keeping themselves a bit lower end to accommodate the Switch 2 better, it gives lower end PCs and devices like the Steam Deck a good chance to keep getting big games in the coming years.
Imagine being so "happy" with your new crappy handeld, that you immediately felt the need to put it away and start a thread seeking validation on a ROM sharing site's forum... XD
Imagine being so cynical you felt the need to spread your negativity to let others know you are an unhappy person. To say buying new Nintendo products supports getting this site closed is like saying buying name brand clothing supports child labor.Might have given 500$ bucks directly to Nintendo's lawyers so they could close this site already.
You guys are just a part of the problem.
Your position is totally respectable, but I am really curious about one thing. As you're a human being, you have free will and capacity to reason beyond a machine. With that intelligence, could I ask you, is there any moment in your mind that you question why people gets mad at something you like? I mean, if many people complain about something, regardless of your liking, you don't give any importance? you don't start questioning why people is complaining, regardless if it makes sense or not for you? it's not like you are willing to change your mind because many people is complaining, it's more like "why so many people is complaining about something that seems to be right, is that thing really right or not?"Imagine being so cynical you felt the need to spread your negativity to let others know you are an unhappy person. I will continue to love and support downloading 20+ year old ROMS/ISO's as well as support legally paying for new games.
And you can stay mad till you're glad dude, nobody cares.
While I appreciate your attempt to be civil and engage in a conversation, you can't make a statement like "we just want people to think beyond" all while making negative generalized statements such as:Your position is totally respectable, but I am really curious about one thing. I question myself many things in life and I believe many people here do as well, because we are all human. We are not trying to convince anybody to swap sides, we just want people to think beyond and question everything in life :)
Anyone here who bought the device will blindly play deaf to all negative comments and continue reading with a smile, while they say proudly "I bought it and I can't be more happy".
Yeah, you're right. I don't think it's worth engaging into this but I also would say that isn't a negative statement for me, it's what human beings and the brain does to protect itself from external harm. Now I am speaking generally, not about this specific topic. While I appreciate your attempt to be civil and engage in a conversation, you can't make a statement like "we just want people to think beyond" all while making negative generalized statements such as:
Are you making a generalized statement like that because you want to engage in discussion or are you just being disrespectful to other members here who are enjoying this new console? Because your comment and the comments of others here don't come off like they want people to think beyond, they come off as people who are unhappy that others are enjoying something they don't or can't, and as such are bringing others down to make themselves feel better. And those kinds of comments don't inspire me to question anything other than why do I bother engaging at all?
It's too early to say that. We'll see how it does post-scalpers and early adopters. Remember, the Wii U also sold out at launch. I'm skeptical about how it'll do with more mainstream buyers like parents looking to buy something for their children. A lot of parents bought their children Switch Lite for $200. Going from $200 to $450 with $70 and $80 games is a massive leap. And its a rousing success despite what everyone was saying for the past month. Truly a peak humanity moment
But when the original switch came out, it wasn't $200 and it still sold out. I have no investment in whether Switch 2 thrives or not, but let's not pretend like Nintendo came in low back in 2017?It's too early to say that. I think the only "lasting" solution would be some kind of nuclear battery...^^^Current Lithium Battery Tech is at its Limits. Needs stepup other battery tech to advance.
Thats why the compromises between powerful portable hardware and batterylife.
Like other powerfull handhelds, Steamdesk/the PC clones handhelds, you only gets 1.30 - 2.15 hours gametime when play (max out) settings.

Better screen? that's not true. Switch uses OLED technology, which is better than the regular LCD screen in Switch 2. For the price of Switch 2, they had to include an OLED panel, but they didn't.I looked at the reviews with the first tests.
Lot of improvements: better screen, better joy-cons, better memory and stuff like that, plus some new features.
BUT, looks like the battery isn't that good (again)...![]()
Oops! I actually meant the size: I almost got blind playing in handheld mode...Better screen? that's not true. Switch uses OLED technology, which is better than the regular LCD screen in Switch 2. For the price of Switch 2, they had to include an OLED panel, but they didn't.
