I do buy a games that I know I will complete and finish, save it for the future, but some I just want to check it before committed to the game itself. I'm an honest pirate, Honor among thieves type. I play a few and delete it. I Only store the save files for the future.

My favourite is probaby RE5, which isn't the most common opinion I think. It's just so ridiculous and in all the best ways; I've probably played through it like a total of 90+ times across every console it's released on probably. It really does help if you're doing co-op of course, as AI Sheva is one of the saddest, stupidest creatures yet designed by man. For old-school RE, it's 3 for me. Don't think I have to elaborate much on 3. Right, I guess I should say I'm a huge RE guy and it's probably my second favourite Capcom series next to SF. I've played every game in the series, no regrets.

I've actually been thinking of playing an old school RE again for something here on the site, I've had 2 and 3 installed on my computer, patched with REbirth project and everything, for like a year but have yet to really play them.

It's a high-res upscale mod for the old, Chinese market only (SourceNext versions) PC versions of 2 and 3. Makes the textures look very nice and gives them proper support for modern resolutions. Highly recommend them.

That reminds me, right after New Years I played through the original RE2 for the first time since the 90's.

It could be better, but I didn't want to use a guide and some of this shit was hard to remember.

I love part 2 it's the only game i have ever speed run i used to be able to get a A rank in under 1 hour 18(A and B) i used to play it Sunday afternoons, i'm a bit rusty so it takes me 2 hours now

I love the RE series, I think it's extremely solid throughout. It's impossible for me to pick a single title, but:

• Best overall: RE4
• Best "classic" style: REmake
• Best "modern" style: RE2make
• Most overlooked: The Mercenaries 3D
• Needs to come back: Outbreak
• Most over-hated: Gaiden
• Worst: Umbrella Corps

Plus the hacks like RE1 Ada mod and others that has their own original story. The community really has some great ideas out there.

RE isn't really my thing, but I always felt the first had the best atmosphere. I only played most of them in passing, though (and even so only up to RE4 very briefly) as I don't have patience for survival horror.
