You already did these videos, and I am not watching any of those two. I never played the Oblivion Remaster, nor do I intend to do so (I don't care for Elder Scrolls in general). I do know people, friends, and friend I know online who either like or love the game fine. Once again, no is putting a gun to your head. You wouldn't see me cry about it, even if I was a fan.

The whole "Soulless" videos are mostly bullshit cynicism wrapped in "genius/being savy", or click baiters bitching for the sake of bitching and nothing more. Soulless has been nothing more than shallow buzzword adapted mostly schemers, grifters, and butt fucks talking out of their assholes.

I played SH2R, and it's a great game and remake by Bloober. Because of this awesome remake, we're getting more original SH titles, and Bloober ended up making their own horror game to great success that is Cronos: The New Dawn. I do recommend giving it a shot.

Then type in the original with their release date. It's not that hard. Stop worrying about "people never finding the original". If I can find them just fine by adding a few details, then it's not that difficult.


With they you've been ranting, I doubt that. You're still complaining for the dumbest and pettiest of reasons, even if you're not playing victim.



Okay, then have fun with anyone of those games I posted that play like RE or SH. It's up to you. So now you have less to complain about.

It's funny you mention Spyro, as I've seen more people on that remake, than any of the ones you mentioned. I know the remake isn't bad, but it had some really dumb compromises because of Activision. Who are much worse than Capcom. Good luck getting another Crash or Spyro, because they got bought by Microsoft. At least we got a Crash 4.

I didn't like Eternal and I love Doom 4 (2016).

Each there own I find most reasons less pesky when I critic remakes/remasters I have my reasons to dislike them and you have your reasons to like them lets let it at that.

You have games you enjoy and I have games I enjoy and I and you have the right to critic stuff we dislike bout games that does not make them pesky or baseless taste is subjective.

Its like you saying that you dislike pancakes with maple syrup and I would call you pesky and your opinion baseless bs for that.

Even in truth its your taste your opinion and even while I may disagree with it you are entitled to your opinion its your money and your time you spend on a game you are free to praise and love it while others are free to voice their opinions and critic towards a game.

If soulless is at the beginning of your title, then i'm already not interested when I can find other reviewers or ones that are much more balanced.

That's never really exactly happened to me much, nut whatever games my friends or relatives play are their business. I've had disagreements here and there but not to the point of hatred or taking things too personal.

Like, I told you before, I like to give things a fair chance, even if i'm uncertain or not sure. There are some exceptions when I know things about to go bad or down south, but if i'm interested in something, I want to give it a chance and hope for the best. Especially when I know a team is trying.

It's why I like Rushing Beat X, even though it has gameplay design I disagree with. The game has jank, but is at least still fun. Even though some bonus modes are lacking. While a bit plain looking in some areas, I love the character designs and I love the user interface. It's just a fun ass video game made by fans who love this franchise.

I don't think they can be called either Shills nor Rage baiters but its been a while since I watched them.

I know who ranx and Vultures are. They are dependable. LGR I know less of but I never heard anything bad about them from what I remember.

I recommend people like Cvit, Noisy Pixels, and I Dream of Indie. They tend to delve into much more niche games, but they are reliable.

3 is the worst of the bunch, but it has more problems than just cutting out half of the materials from the OG game.

Honestly, the thing I'm most salty about is what Capcom did to Jill in the remake.

Most people only focuses on the gameplay issues and how Remakes version of RE3 is a uber-short severerly cut-down version of the original game.

Others will complain about the remake of Jill's design. And while both of those are legitimate criticisms, my biggest problem with Remake Jill is her characterization and personality.

Capcom completely butchered what her OG character was into a completely unrecognizable mess in the remake. What's worse is that Capcom then ended up using this nu Jill with all her worst alternate characterization in a movie meant to be a sequel to RE5 while ignoring every bit of lore and characterization actually from RE5 and the older games.

This video explains the sheer personality difference between the OG Jill and Remake Jill.

Like, just watch the scene between Jill and Mikhail in both the remake and the OG to get an idea. OG Jill had such a sweet, compassionate, soft side underneath her more badass side. While Remake Jill is a bitter, flawed, toxic, sarcastic asshole with a foul mouth.

Jill and Carlos in RE3R are freaking awesome. I don't hate her characterization in either games and both work for what they are doing. I will agree on the lazy model reuse, but that is specifically a Capcom problem than it is a problem with RE3R. Carlos is inherently better in the remake than he is in the original. That's absolute fact. I didn't hate the original Carlos, but he didn't have much going for them.

Also, about OG RE3 Jill's costume, her specific voice actor didn't care much for it. It didn't help that the design team lied to her about what Jill would look like back in 1999, and only gave her artwork from the first game.

You know man, i just literally took off the forums like for a day and a few hours and just seeing what you wrote with other posts like what my fam @Retro Doomer or @NOTthatHARD said, just makes me wonder what people consider "good" these days, i used to see characters with empathy that also were badasses, hell, even characters from cheesy films from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s felt more human than most (not all, THANK GOD) characters i see nowadays, you know, last week i watched Gunbuster, and honestly what i saw is what i think character development and chemistry should be, same when i read Feet of Clay, or Dracula (yes, the OG one), and not this supposed "peak" that most people glaze about nowadays, stop writing nonsense sarcastic "badasses" thinking you're emulating the characters and style of older and GOOD times, and write something that actually feels human, flaws and everything, and NO, saying cuss words and being sarcastic and crass is NOT a personality for a character, unless you're Jack from Stranger of Paradise and that's because that's just Raoh with a Final Fantasy skin.

You either like these characters or don't, and I like them. Let's throw out the pretence that people liked this 100% shall we?, because every time there's discussion everywhere about RE3 Remake there's always the point where you can hear:
"I wish they included some aspects of the original (making Nemesis less scripted, gave us more locations, didn't cut enemies)".
And that's where my point stands, why do they have all the resources in the world to make something amazing, and make "just great" at best, in every aspect of it, why make a more graphically/mechanically advanced game, but just show and smoke and less of the original? Also:

I didn't cook up any fantasy genius, i just wanted them to improve on what WAS ALREADY THERE, that's the whole point, why do you think that 1Remake is regarded as the BEST one of the remakes? Because it EXPANDED on a good foundation.

Why would i watch and hear what i already know?, 3Remake had good things i liked, it HAD potential, but sadly, it was just that, a "just great" cherry in a pretty butchered cake, and if we as a community don't ask for more, which by the way they are absolutely capable of doing at this point (looking at you RE9 Raccoon City WHOLE BLOCKS of the city), then we will be getting "just great" games for the rest of what's left of this and many other developers, and "just great" games are not something that is unheard of, but this wasn't the case was it? When the game your'e trying to remake is more memorable than the remake you just did, my man you just fumbled in the most amazing way possible.

Why i didn't complain about Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta or Silent Hill 2 Remake? BECAUSE they KNEW what we wanted, and you know what? they gave us MORE of it.

I never said people love this game one hundred percent. Only that most didn't have an actual problem with it or put their concerns to better use. Especially over the so called " character assassination of Jill". Capcom didn't assassinate anything about her nor Carlos especially. That category actually belongs to Alex in SF6.

People like Max Dood, Sphere Hunter (who I don't watch any more, but for different reasons), Pat Stares At, Woolie, Avalanche Reviews (he loves most of the game though), etc, all had gameplay issues or cut content with the game, but none of them had a problem with how Jill and Carlos acted. Pretty much all of them are hardcore RE fans.

Wasn't exactly meant for you, but for anyone interested. It's called called putting actual diverse voices out here and not just a bunch of screaming rageaholics and click baiters. Even the ones with points, I don't need it screamed at my face or insulted for me or anyone else enjoying something. Even the ones who aren't doing that and still don't like the game I've already heard the points elsewhere. So anything else will be redundant.

Even most of the people who like RE3R aren't afraid to point out it's issues, but don't make it sound like it's the end of the world, because of what happened.

That I can agree with. You can add Dead Space Remake too. I am pretty much never going back to the original on that one.

They could've learned sooner honestly. It's baffling that these days i'm more excited about indie games and fan projects like these than actual AAA relesases these days, and in the regard of remakes is the same, don't be just shaped with a "just great" when they are capable of giving us something amazing.
