You constantly hating on all remakes doesn't make you unique nor special. That just makes you another loud voiced opinion on the opposite side of the line or coin and not doing much else. None of it makes it clever. It's still your choice to make, but I unnecessarily hostile, and irrational one.
The I hate all remakes like a blind fanatic is more of a funny meme than factual truth.
In reality I dislike most remakes for a reason but not all of them few are good that I enjoy most are not.
Also late people dislike what they dislike if they have a Issue with Remakes its their right to have a Issue with it not everyone has the same Opinion or taste.
Most of the remakes aren't "butchering anything", you just can't accept something new and letting blind nostalgia cloud your judgment. There are bad remakes, but most are between good or great. I've pointed out the bad emakes (on this same thread mind you) or remasters out there, but it's not all doom.And gloom, when most of them get it right or care and attention that's put into them.
A very Naive take at the very least woke remakes and modern slop is not a term without a reason.

Once again, regardless whenever a remake turns out great or not, it doesn't stop the original from being beloved or cherished along with the remake. It's the best to both worlds.
Regardless if its Googles fault or not the fact is that most people who are gonna look up the game are only gonna see the Remake and not the Original..most who play and actively search for the original game are often hardcore fans like me who knew the original while most are new to the game and only ever gonna know the butchered remake version
on of a game and not the original one.
Its not a me problem if Youtube is flooded with videos of a remakes over the original game sorry but your take seems a bit in denial and self absorbed.
Short version: quit acting like a victim and enjoy games out there, or you're interested in instead of hyper focusing on blind hatred.
I never claimed to be a victim and no need for the passive agresive tone just because I dislike most remakes does not mean I am crying about it nor does it mean I am a victim.
I dislike them and that is that not gonna stop you from playing them but I preserve the right to call in my opinion bullshit when I see it.
Nobody stopping you from being in or out on any of these nor any game. That is all you. If they bother you that much, you have plenty of other games to play, and try something that gives you actual joy. You're getting into Halo Trilogy and Reach, so you'll be having fun for a while for this to not bother you nor matter in the long run.
As for survival horror games, there's plenty of unique and new indie ones out right now and have been for more than four years now on Steam, GoG, PSN, and eShop. Looking for something older but mainstream, I suggest Evil Within 1 & 2. More so the sequel, but you should at least play the first game so the story and character development can give you a grateful full effect. Just playing playing a first game on, if you really care about the story. That way, you can move on as fast as possible, but take these games at your own pace however you want.
Well yes there are plenty of good Horror and survival games out there and even some good modern once.
I don't even have a issue with them in the first place otherwise I would not even have a bought a Ps4 back in the day if I was all modern games bad.
Also I am not a Hardcore Horror fan more of a Resident Evil and Silent Hill enjoyer
but mostly ironically as they don't scare me for whatever reason maybe because I am a old fart by now sure as a kid I would have shit myself probably but when you have seen it all..well they are still damn good games.
Even play the Og Silent Hill 2 version on Ps2 so I am not a Hyprocrite like preaching water and drinking wine
You'll always have the original (assuming you got it, would you tend to do going by your posts) and your love for it cannot be taken away by anyone except yourself.
Sure I have them or at least know of them as I am into the Hobby and love Vintage/Retro Stuff and its hardly Nostalgia for many of them as I did miss out on a lot of them as a kid and had to rebuy a couple as a Adult and still like them...so not its not muh nostalgia as many may claim.
And before anyone gonna throw labels at me again and proclaiming me to be a blind hater.
I like some remakes example the Spyro one was good and I play the Og and the remake.
Pocky and Rocky and Pocky and Rocky reshrined the remake both are good
I did not like some changes they did yet it was a good game so some changes I dislike are normally not enough to hate on a game/remake for me they have to be in my opinion either have to be many or major once I detest.
Also sometimes I prefer the Modern Games over some older games despite my nostalgia example I like Doom Eternal more than Doom 1 and 2 and I like those games they are nostalgic and always worht a go yet I am not blinded by my nostalgia to admit that also I played Doom Eternal Eternal before Doom 2016
and yes its like people say it was a bit slower for me and I needed to get some used to it yet it was good and I raged and beat it ;) yet I have admit both Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal felt a bit short for me.
