Rasslin’ (WWE, AEW, etc…)

See Ash by Elegance (Dana Brooke is back on TNA happy for her she got medically cleared from having to go away last year.
Yeah, that's one person I generally root for. Always came off to me as someone who's always tried her best with what she had whether it be her own limitations or what she was given.

Been watching the R Truth episode of WWE Unreal decent viewing. Looks like theyre doing season 3 as well.

R-Truth was on The Breakfast Club radio show giving his take on it too. He's adamant that the way he went about it after hearing they wouldn't renew was the right move and I don't fault him at all. He for sure feels WWE's version of it sugar coated the impact of their decision to let him go.

Been watching uploads of old wrestling via the WWE Vault and WCW Youtube page. Some hidden gems there. Also found some old episodes of Raw mid attitude era. Been a treat to go back and watch random wrestling episodes and just see how the product was back then.

Also, glad to see a strong forum thread for Rasslin!

Triple H lied about it all which didnt help matters.

I was a big fan of ECW back in the day, and even worked as a cameraman for CSW back in the early 2000s.

Smackdown is the slightly better show at the moment with drew as champion. I havent a clue what surprises there will be at the rumble but the saudi money is good so they can afford it.

Watching royal rumble 2002 classic times.
I didn't watch that Rumble, but it was an exciting time period. A few people returned at the Rumble like Mr. Perfect and Goldust and things were interesting. A nice palate cleanser after the dogshit Invasion angle.

Should be sitting on youtube if its not then they need to add it. didnt like invasion at all they didnt score the big stars and it really should have ended at summerslam not survivor series.

Legit the first Royal Rumble I watched. Still a favorite of mine. Maven eliminating Undertaker is still money to me.
He got his ass kicked for that/:loldog

Agreed. Or it should have led to WCW being a separate brand, which allegedly was the plan before the Booker T/Buff Bagwell match flopped. I don't think so though, Vince had such a hate boner for WCW and booking their stars like shit. See DDP being insta-buried, though some of that probably was on Undertaker being a dick.

Agreed, they did a good job with him and then just kinda gave up. I remember there being rumors at the time his finishers in the upcoming Smackdown game would be a dropkick and small package since he was so generic. I think they ended up being a missile dropkick and German suplex pin, so pretty close.

Just caught the men and womens royal rumble will catch up with you cats about it tomorrow when people have had time to watch if theyre delaying it.

Well. Overall, Royal Rumble was a good show.
I expected exactly that from Drew's match with Sami: Drew's domination.
Gunther with AJ Styles... A good match, even a very good one. AJ ended his career on his own terms, as Nakamura spoiled in a quickly deleted post, where he mentioned that during a conversation while traveling to a live event in Tokyo in October, he asked AJ when exactly he wanted to end his career, and AJ replied that he had already decided it would be at Royal Rumble.

Women's Royal Rumble – there were a few botches, especially Lola Vice and Candice LaRae, who I don't think were supposed to be eliminated at the same time, but it was a good match, although I'm a little disappointed that AJ Lee and Paige weren't there.

Liv's victory was well deserved, because apart from Sol Ruca, she definitely performed best in the ring, and we have a surprise in the form of Brie's return.

As for the men's Royal Rumble... it was a big disappointment. Okay, Powerhouse Hobbs showed up, which was a bit of a surprise, Chad Gabe returned as the original El Grande Americano, and they recreated that Spider-Man meme.

But the big no-show that a lot of sources were talking about was Chris Jericho, and there were no surprises in the form of one night only appearances by a Hall of Famers or, for example, the Hardys or other people from TNA.

And the winner, confirming what he said in an interview before Rumble, is Roman Reigns, who will probably not fight until WrestleMania and will probably appear on TV a maximum of three times.

In the interview, he criticized the creative team, saying that they have been standing still for two years and are not promoting new stars...

And Rumble was an opportunity to promote someone new to the WrestleMania main event. If not Gunther, who's now the obvious choice, then one of the fan favorites who always gets a big reaction - Penta, LA Knight, Trick Williams...

It wasnt good at all friend. I was yawning the whole way through the womens and the mens was roman because the saudis wanted it.

I don't watch a lot of wrestling anymore. I did catch the end of the Styles/Gunther match, figure that would of been the ending. Obviously I see AJ going on a world tour of big matches in other places before finally calling it a career. The Drew/Sami match was meh, although Drew is so damn entertaining. The Men's Rumble I thought was alright, although the ending was ridiculous. Was really cool to see La Parka in there, obviously not the original, as if I recall the original is old and fat hahaha (still a badass though) and unfortunately another version (went on as L.A Park, or I have it backwards) passed away. I didn't hate what I saw, but it could of been better. The biggest issue was having this PPV in a different country, I think more surprises would of happened.

I remember 2011 being pretty bad as well, the one Del Rio won. This will be Roman Reigns' 10th WM main event, and 6th in a row. Are people that into him? When I was still watching they weren't, before the Tribal Chief stuff. Surely even that gimmick must feel stale by now?

L.A Park is orginal La Parka now. But there are many versions of La Parka, and it's hard to figure out who's who.
There is orginal La Parka (LA Park now), late La Parka who was La Parka Jr in AAA and WCW, La Parka Negra - storyline enemy for second La Parka who goes by El Zorro now (and before also was El Zorro), El Hijo de L.A. Park who is son of orginal La Parka and his brother L. A. Park Jr., Super Parka - nephew of orginal La Parka and new, third La Parka and also second La Parka Negra whose real identities we don't know. And there are also Mini-Estrella versions - La Parkita and La Parkita Negra.

Yes.
The Bloodline storyline and the Tribal Chef gimmick transformed him from a guy who was treated as a forced product into a favorite of the majority.
In fact, the same thing happened to him as to John Cena. From an unpopular guy, he became a favorite of almost everyone and respected by all.
The gimmick is indeed a bit stalled, but that's mostly because Roman Reigns isn't even a part-timer now, but a special attraction...

Very confusing hahaha. Either way, great to see the character in the Rumble.

I watched Collision yesterday on HBO Max since I missed it live and it was a lot better than the Royal Rumble. I don't understand how Triple H booked people like Ciampa so well in NXT but can't book for shit on the main roster. AEW nailed Ciampa's entrance.

I did not watch the Rumble and I'm glad I didn't cuz of the way they did my guy Sami Zayn. I don't care what internet fans say, he's still my guy. Of my all-time faves, Sami & Kevin Owens are my 3a & 3b forreal. Best feeling I ever had watching wrestling was being there in person to watch Sami finally hit a Brainbustaaah at Wrestlemania 40.

Just uploaded WCW 2000
