I've seen some geek on youtube ranting about Maxine beating Becky Lynch because it "kills Becky's momentum" and Maxine isn't great in the ring. I honestly don't care. WWE is so predictable that I just was happy to see a match result that I didn't expect. As far as Becky goes, who cares? She's done everything and is already a guaranteed hall of famer, I don't care if she loses to some lower midcarder. Becky is untouchable at this point in her career. Frankly, I find her boring as she is just another one of those people who constantly gets pushed much like her husband. I'm tired of the same people dominating WWE all the time. Just give Maxime a brief run with the belt, then have some one else take it from her. That's fine by me. I'm more into her having a title run than I was with the boring as hell US title reigns of Zelina Vega and Giulia, two boring as fuck characters who had no story whatsoever.
The truth is, it doesn't kill Becky's momentum. If Maxxine had won cleanly without AJ Lee's interference, you could say that. Plus, she clearly improved in the ring.
Although I hope they go further in the direction of the story that is writing itself here. A feud with her friend and trainer Natalya, who will simply be jealous, and which will ultimately allow Natalya to bring her Nattie gimmick to WWE.

CM Punk plays the good boy game which finally ensures what he wanted all along. Being on the merchandise and being a face of the company. Hes not causing any trouble or being controversial which i would say was a heavy part of his contract anyway.

I think there's much more to it than that. Punk is finally where he wanted to be when he returned to AEW, but for various reasons, he wasn't.
From various interviews, we know that the WWE locker room is currently a friendly place, and the wrestlers get along pretty well. On the other hand, from the few memories we have, because those who left AEW are reluctant to talk about it, the AEW locker room doesn't seem like a very nice place.
And here you can understand it. There are quite a few people there who certainly have some grievances because they are not being used or have fallen significantly in the hierarchy. There are guys who have power behind the scenes and are also active wrestlers (more or less like The Rock), namely the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Christopher Daniels (before he retired from the ring), Chris Jericho, Brandon Cutler, Jeff Jarrett.
With a guy with such a strong personality, this was bound to lead to conflict, and in the case of the Young Bucks, it did.
And since a few people like Bucks and Jack Perry happen to be jerks in real life... well. It didn't end well.
In WWE, CM Punk certainly enjoys a certain amount of freedom—at least in terms of promos—and for now, he is unofficially mentoring young talent, as mentioned by Cora Jade/Elayna Black, Roxanne Perez, Trick Williams...
After ending his career in the ring, he will certainly remain in WWE as a coach, producer, or, as has been rumored for some time, Shawn Michaels' successor in NXT.
And I think he wanted to play a similar mentoring role in AEW, but they didn't see him in that role there...
