The file size is due to the music files on mp3. The actual game is 8MB. To play this on retroarch you have to use the core included, a modified genesis plus core, else the game will play a fake low res "mockup". So go to your retroarch cores folder, backup and delete your genesis_plus_gx_libretro.dll and replace it with the one included with the game. After that just load content and find the game .bin.

Download from Repo

So who managed to dump this?

This game pretty much runs on custom code designed outside of the md/gen, the cartridge has custom FPGA Chips that were sanded to obsfuscate their identity, which is why I believe it took this long for it to get dumped properly?

I remember downloading a suppossed dump of this a year or two ago and it only booted that Atari mockup.

Didn't know it also utilized MP3 music, so those cartridges most likely have a 1GB Nand/Flash on them.

Using all of this custom tech makes me wonder if it's even worth going the trouble to make games like these for old consoles. I mean at the end you're just using the Console for video out and controller input.

I remember randy linden was going to do the same with a Re-Release of Doom for Snes.

Saw someone criticize this game saying it's just a generic beat em' up "does not do much to push the medium forward" is what I remember.

Is there any other, simpler, way?

1 - Only works on Windows.
2 - Retroarch and its cores keep receiving new updates.

I am hoping someone comes up with a clever solution to have this running in any emulator, and with regular cores.

Tried it with the newer "Megadrive" core on MiSTer and it boots up the demake version for anybody that's wondering. Haven't yet tried it on the older "Genesis" core.

Great to see this finally dumped. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work on a Mac?

Obviously a music component is not emulated but a form of hack is used which uses mp3 tracks. Thus no modulated versions of them in crisis mode or saxophone mode.

CANALHA acordei tarde hoje, mas assim que peguei o celular vi a notícia e vim postar........... mas você já postou......... .

Foda demais! :D

does android possible doing this? i hope android can do it
I'm not sure where the modified core came from. If the source code was available then you could build it for the other operating systems.
