Non-Gaming Hot Takes

Thats right when artists know what they are doing they end up creating something worth looking at for decades and decades.
Indeed, and the work put in to their art, will help them to find and refine what they are doing, what works, what does not and how to continue to refine.

This imho is what makes the best art, as one has to ever learn to love the grind towards it, or they just do.

Drawing can be stressful
You just grab a pencil and slide on a paper, what's stressful about it?

Soccer sucks
That's your opinion tho.

I mean why would this suck while american football wouldn't?

Not joking artistic people can have some really fragile self image sometimes and it's pretty easy to bother them at least that's what i know ::eggmanlaugh
I'd just say that being an artist doesn't make someone a special cast, they're still humans like you and me but with a specific hobby (that can be made into a full job).

I feel that sadly like in many fields there are people who tend to do more drama (either because of jealousy someone's better than them while they're being mediocre) or just act as if they're special (pro tips: nobody really is). The same rule applies to everyone and it's never a good idea to be jealous over someone else because they made the mistake of managing to live their lives with the thing they love to do.

American Football sucks, too. :)
Hot take, from what i remember, it is ever grown men kicking balls or grabbing them >_> :P

Em and D12 said it best in the awesome movie that is the longest yard! (hot take?)

American Football sucks, too. :)
And why does it suck? Can we get some proper explanations other than "sports bad"? I mean it's a bit of a cliche that gamers (and anime fans) don't like sport.

As for the artist talk I also wanna tell that if everyone is unique then nobody is. Syndrome was such a genius antagonist that basically summarised a lot of things around.

Yeah it's just that artistic fields can hold people like this more often than not

No. :)

I dunno if it's correlated to socially inept people (then again it may just be a coincidence) but I feel like some fields are more prone to have bullies (which are probably people who got bullied previously but then again it's hypothetical) that often abuse their power when they get a bit of fame, the art was just the way they got popularity.

I heard that the art field, like the theatre or even acting one, is a cruel place that isn't gentle towards people that cannot stand for themselves.

I often feel like some really talented people just quit because of others when they had a great potential. A big shame if you'd ask.

Arguably it sucks because it prioritizes the entertainment of spectators over the health and wellbeing of the players. Like rugby, its a full contact sport that can and has left people with life-long health complications including everything from tumors to severe arthritis and even chronic cerebrospinal fluid leaks.

Yet we're still encouraging young people to do this so we can watch them fondling balls. In some cases "encouraging" them by making it one of their only hopes of getting a decent start in life/education.

Then fans also resist a lot of the moves that have been suggested to help reduce the physical strain and injury because it 'changes the sport'

'Soccer' sucks because of the turning if a simple game into an excuse to kick the shit out of other people and wreck everyone's stuff. At least, that's the legacy that Footie has here in the UK.

Most likely yes it's these sort of people.

It seems sometimes talented people may suffer from things like low self esteem which can be something that hampers their career in whatever they are talented at due to these communities engaging in excessive bullying and harassment.

I hate coloring! It takes up so much of my time. I rather be drawing something else then color!

I also hate slow drivers in the fast lane. If i could i would throw a bob-omb at them.

I'll try but I can only frame it from my own point of view and I know it isn't widely shared:
- Watching a game of football is absolute torture because of how long it takes. 10 seconds of action inbetween seemingly never-ending periods of lining back up to do it all over again. The last two minutes of a game takes like an hour.
- The commentary that's always some old player making non-statements like "you know, they got a job to do, so the only thing to do is to go out there and do that job" because they don't have much else to offer in terms of insight other than specific situations that remind them of one of their own old games.
- Concussions and their potential impact on player life expectancy. Granted, they're adults and make the choice to play, but that doesn't mean they should be compromised so much for their post-playing life.
- Football culture in the US. That kind of loud and in-your-face "let's drink a beer and paint team logos on our tits" thing just seems overbearing and trying to compensate for other shortcomings. There's also probably some link between sports and drunk driving, but I would assume that is not specific to the US nor to just football, but it's unfortunate.

That said, playing a little pickup game in the street two-hand touch style was always fun, and when they package the televised games in such a way that they cut out the fluff so you get just the plays, that's far easier to appreciate. But I've just never been a football guy.

Thats any sport, its called being part of the game, people do it in esports too. This isnt compensating thats just regular good times with your friends. I feel like you never went and participated in an actual sports arena.
Saying the sports and drunk driving is somehow linked is really stretching there. Thats just bad decision making, if sports is the leading cause of drunk driving, then i guess bars and sports arenas would be filled with fatalities, and no one would be outside during an event.

I've been to sporting events and I wasn't a loud asshole about it. I also never said a leading cause, don't put words in my mouth. Thanks.

i didnt put words in your mouth, i typed in "if" as a theoretical assumption

Just don't be a Manchester city fan or a real Madrid fan and it's going to be fine.

Never liked real Madrid fans

Sliced bread is nothing special. Most of the time not the best bread you could be eating where you are.

I've never cared much for sweets or sweet food, outside of maybe a rare bit of chocolate. Granted, I've never been able to eat much sugar for health reasons, so maybe I just never developed a sweet tooth.

You get enough sweetness from Miku.

Sugar should be banned.

Well, not entirely but we should enforce companies to stop adding that to their stuff. For the sake of people's health.

In fact we don't need any liquid other than water in our lives.

Also agree on the sugar thing mostly, or at least it needs more restrictions. Even tho I've been getting way healthier lately I've really struggled to break my shitty relationship with sugar.

BUT we need milk when we're young. 👆🧐

We, at least in America, definitely should cut down on putting sugar in everything. It's pretty alarming when you learn all the stuff that has added sugar that really doesn't need it here.
