Name a game that is so loathed by everyone that you actually enjoyed

I would never say these are good games. They have problems. But to me, they're kind of perfect. I think it's not controversial to say that they're the least bad of the not good Build Engine games? I don't know, maybe not.

I feel like FF12 got a serious amount of hate when it came out, obviously I understand the damage it did to the series! I love the Ivalice setting and what it was aspiring to be even now when I go back to play it, to me it's a Swanswong for the remnants of old Square. It really captures the era well! FF13-2 is also in a weird love-hate relationship with me, I'm not sure what to make of it. I know I'm meant to despise for a multitude of reasons but it's a very soothing game to play.

Bionic Commando (2009 reboot)

Absolutely loved this game, finished it with all achievements (not easy as for example all collectibles need to be collected as part of a single playthrough) but I was happy to do it because I couldn't get enough of the game.

It sank without a trace and the sequel was canned before it even started (finishing the game gave hints to a sequel in the story). Was absolutely gutted it got such a bad rep.
