I got you tomorrow, they're mostly SNES/GBA but I'll dig up some NES/GB ones if they're not already in Repo.

Admittedly, I don't gove enough love to this series. I really need to force myself to play Return of Samus, but I'm color-picky and have to wait until I can play the fan colorization on a large screen like my computer.

Lord knows I have enough Metroid hacks, though..

I think that the white characters and environment in pitch black background is better for atmosphere.

It took me until like 2 months ago to finally beat Dread, and it had me hungry to revisit the older game in the series.

Might install Prime Trilogy on my Wii or something. I've had enough 2D metroidvania for now, time for some 3D fun.

It feels so empty

I feel like this is why the Super Metroid also had those high pitched noises in its intro.

I also largely prefer the Nest/Lab and Sudden Metroid Spike themes from the original over AM2R and Samus Returns:

I can't even watch black & white movies because they put me to sleep. I used to go to bed watching black & white TV, that's why.

I have always loved Metroid from playing the very first one on the nes. But the NPC guy in metroid prime 4 is something I don't understand. I hope it's just for the tutorial part. But if it's not, then I'm sure it will be rated like metroid the other M. And the graphics remind me of a halo game. I hope I'm not disappointed when it comes out.

do you mean that as a good thing or bad thing, because personally the games looks gorgeous from what I've seen so far, aside from that open area with the bike which i like to refer to as hyrule field because i think it was serve the same purpose as that area did in oot.

anyways hyrule field looks kinda mid in my opinion mostly because its pretty empty but the rest the game is chef's kiss so far

So just saw the previews for Prime 4 and while the game looks gorgeous, what in hell were they thinking with this Myles character? First off, he looks like the annoying long lost brother of the Medic from Team Fortress 2 so just in a visual sense he does not gel with the Metroid series but even more jarringly, what is with this Whedon-esque dialogue that is constantly interrupting your gameplay? This is one of the most boneheaded moves I think I have seen a developer make, especially a studio like Retro Studios which have had extensive experience with the Metroid series and did such a great job translating it into 3D. It feels like they watched the Poochie episode of the Simpsons and took the complete opposite message from it. I would like to think his presence in the game will be minimal but still why have him there at all? I really can understand the outrage around this character because this decision just spits in the face of everything the series represents.

Update: Well, I didn't know I was missing these, but I found like 15 hacks I thought I had, and I also ended up downloading like 30 other ones aside from  that. So yeah, I got more to update that list..

But fuckin' MetroidConstruction is down and I can't finish downloading all of 'em

Wish they'd make me a Repo Curator so I could just upload 'em
