Tail Concerto & Solatorobo have the same feel to them. I recall that it might have had some team members in common, but I could be misremembering. It does seem to have very similar worldbuilding and plots though.

That's because Solatorobo is a spiritual successor to Tail Concerto.
And yes, they do have some team members in common.

I meant from Mega Man Legends. I know ConCerto & Solatorobo is part of Little Tail Bronx. I meant that Cyber Connect 2 had some of the team from Dash.

I know Heart & Slash, 3D character action roguelike where you play as a robot, Delta gal which is still in development and is like a really high speed 3D platformer more directly inspired by megaman legend, and then there's this GZdoom game I played a demo of called Amica with a similar artstyle. Only one level so far but it's got this cool system where you can pick different equips for your character before going in that can open up different secrets, also just a really cool soundtrack

It's by a band named Game Over. It's based on Top Man stage from Megaman 3 and some other tracks from Megaman 2. I heard this online somewhere like 20+ years ago and liked it so much I mailed them a paper letter with cash for them to send me a cd (and they did!) I just came across it again today and thought I'd share.

I haven’t read any comics, but I kind of like this Spaziante guy’s art, at least the covers, it’s pretty clean and snappy. The comic art itself seems super hit-or-miss though, but feels like that’s the way for most comics.

Apparently there were several pencilers/artists but this seems to be his stuff

Also, the line about Mega Man having no conscious thought in @Yousef's meme really reminded why I hate fans's obsession with the timeline and the lore to the point of ignoring what actually happens in the games.

Like, how can you look at Mega Man's actions in Mega Man World 5 and Mega Man & Bass and say he isn't conscious?

This shit is really common in long-running game series that has side media which tries to tell a story more than the games do.

Sonic is like this a lot, and Zelda too, where people sort of forget that comics are spin-offs and get angry when the games are more simplistic or doesn’t take into account something a side character said to a hero in a filler chapter from a thirty year old spinoff ova or whatever because ”everything needs to be connected all the time because le lore!!!1”

I assume it’s inspired by the MM&B artwork where they stand next to each other, Bass’ skin is darker but that entire image is kinda desaturated and slightly slightly green/mustard-like so he looks sallow.

I finished my Rockman 8 replay, and man, this game is even worse than remember.

Thoughts in no particular order:
1) I really like the Japanese voice acting, especially Bass and Clown Man. The latter genuinely sounds cute and charming, believe it or not.
2) The snowboard sections in Frost Man's level are manageable. Wily Tower 1 can suck my [male reproductive organ], though.
3) Related to the above, there are just way too many autoscrollers. It really feels like the devs were running on fumes, trying to come up with the new level gimmicks.
4) Bass is such a joke, it makes me sad : (
5) I hate Dr. Wily's boss fight. It's one of the few times I cursed having to input down and jump for slide.
6) I tried using Special Weapons as often as possible, but they all were so boring and uninteresting I gave up on that.
7) I like the mid-boss music and Electrical Communication.
8) Aqua Man is officially one of my favorite Robot Master designs. Look at how dapper he is.
9) Duo is a terrible character and I'm glad he disappeared from the games after Mega Man Battle & Chase.
10) I hate the mazes in Astro Man's level.
11) I hate Sword Man's entire level.

A few years back, in my mid teens, I missed my shot to get X8 for a decent price. In recent times, despite being re-released, it's gone up considerably. Is it worth the hype? Should I bother hunting a physical copy for my PS2?

This was the shit during my childhood and I played it a lot, to the point of unlocking everything. Being able to unlock different weapons for zero and the girls as playable characters was a nice touch.

I don't think I'd enjoy that much as an adult. Revisiting would be fun I suppose but one playthrough would do it.
