Oh, I've hated the GB Megaman games since I was like 13. I made it to Enker once, but I don't think I ever cared enough to get past, and I like to play games in chronological order, so I would never get to experience Megaman V outside of short testing periods to make sure my ROM works. ?

Alright I'll post it; but it's embarrassing AF.

I like to keep the battle from being one-sided in my videos, so that the viewer is not sure who will win until the very end.
That said, about halfway through you can kinda tell when I finally get pissed and stop taking damage.

If I wanted to show off, I'd do it without getting hit. ?

But I learned a long time ago that if I were to display any sort of talent or skill, even without the intention to show off or brag, that divine intervention will come down and smite my ass for trying.

As soon as I find a way to get the Beam Saber at the start of the game, I'll record a playthrough. It's a lot of fun, but the saber is very limiting to your options for charging or dodging attacks swiftly.

I'll forever be a Mega Man Legends apologist.

Game was awesome through and through, and so was The Misadventures Of Tron Bonne.

Same here, such a clean and great looking graphics, beautiful music, fun and easy to understand gameplay, cool story, is one of few games that give me a cozy feeling of belonging in a digital world (as crazy as it sounds).
As a non native english speaker the voice acting help me to learn a lot when i was a child that is a big plus to me

its not bad, i like 2, i just dont like the levels as much as 1, and i dont like 1 and 2 compared to 3 and forward. (except 7)

Honestly the list doesn’t suck. Seemed pretty normal to me. I enjoyed 3 and 5 so I see why they’d be placed so high, and 4 is obviously pretty similar to 5 already.
X1 being so low is also not a huge deal because i replayed that game so many times that the flaws begun to stand out to me.
Decent list, I think X2 is my favorite (but I get if someone doesn’t like it)

I think 8 was decent. Best controlling game in the series for me and best “game-feel”. Level design is hit and miss, thered both good and meh levels and some levels are a little too short and lack weight.
Icarus armor is my favorite in the series. Really customizable. Each part can swapped separately which is really handy.
Music is ok-ish. Zero in my opinion is the best he’s been but Axl is no slouch. Axl is honestly my favorite in the series to control but X is also really damn refined and he’s fun to control.

Bosses are sadly a bit meh. Their patterns are extremely basic and have next to no learning curve, their invulnerabilities are unnecessarily long.

Level design’s best aspect is the collectibles. They’re hidden in creative ways.

Had anyone gotten to play Megaman X Online Deathmatch? I was on it a lot before the servers were taken down. Amazing game, feels just like the SNES ones.

so the game is a 7 or 6.5, just really mid?

its sad to hear the levels are mid, their are usually my favorite part minus the ice leves (fuck them).

bosses are not big loss, i just get to them, hit them with their weaknes and im on my merry way.

icarus armor sounds really cool, its kinda like skills in X5.

im honestly just happy to play as Zero. ngl

One complaint I often hear about the Classic and X series is that they overuse Dr. Wily and Sigma as the main villains.

I both agree and disagree with this, depending on which series we're talking about. In the Classic series, because of barebones stories, it doesn't really matter who's the villain, so I don't mind Dr. Wily's constant presence.

The X series, however, is a different matter. In the beginning, Sigma was presented as a much more nuanced villain than Dr. Wily, wanting to "evolve" Reploids, even if it meant great sacrifices. Starting with X4, however, Sigma lost those qualities and became a crazed lunatic who wanted to kill everyone just 'cause. This would be a problem all on its own, but the X series also tried to sell itself on being mature and story-based. Having some genocidal wacko appear just to serve as the final boss, while also hijacking other antagonists, doesn't really mesh with this premise. This is compounded by the series's refusal to advance the plot in any meaningful way until the literal end.

But what do you guys think?
