Wake up to Mom flicking our bedroom lights on and off, (hated it) watch Saturday morning cartoons half conscious, mom made cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast, (and coffee for me, I was drinking at age 5 for my headaches) go out to Nanny and Papa's at lunch for Nanny's delicious special recipe burgers... Papa hooked the cart up to his riding mower to take us on a ride, drink delicious well water right from the hose before we leave, movie night we would go to the mom and pop video store, we rented Karate Kid 2 VHS tape again... but all the good games were gone so we had to rent T&C Surf designs again, (ugh) older brother stayed up late camping in the living room past Mom and dad going to bed to watch HBO in the hopes of seeing boobies, younger brother finally used a curse word playing T&C Surf Designs. (valid)

All in all, a pretty wonderful typical Saturday in the 80's.

Centipede and Millipede are such good games. So much so that Jeff Minter (of Attack Of The Mutant Camels fame) made a "homage" called Grid Runner for various platforms

In a way, Tempest also feels like a natural progression of Centipede

Even though I like it, I never really been a great fan, but... YEAAAHH!!!

Dude those origional korean animated Transformers cartoons were great. With the amount of glitches
you could almost call it AI. Plus.... Scatman Caruthers, though I'm not sure how many youngins here know who that is. This, Masters of the Universe and the Mr T cartoon were my jam when I was a kid. Transformers sucked ass however AS SOON as they added Roddimus Prime. My good buddy had the whole Omega Supreme set when we were kids, I was super jelly.

Tempest 2000 is the main reason to buy Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story, but the documentary is pretty great and so are the other games

Which I still own on my good old Atari-ST.
Ryu was the main chatacter and the only one playable (aside Ken for the 2nd player) and you had to face 10 opponents in 5 different Countries... great memories!
