The new movie is more accurate than the old one, in general.
But you should still watch the old one because it’s a David Lynch film and if you like Silent Hill you should watch everything he has ever made :)

Of course, I’m not disagreeing with you at all, but kids aren’t idiots. My main point wasn’t the demographic thing as much as how every single ”generation” of cartoons has had actual bottom of the barrel dogshit, and medium-defining super hits.

Adults will always dismiss kids cartoons for the dumbest reasons imaginable. People who were adults when EEnE and other cartoons of the time were fresh thought they were brainrot material because it was loud and crude and dismissed it for it. Just like how people later on dismissed Clarence because it had ”le calarts style” or ambiguously brown...

In short theres a detectine in nyc in the 50s, he's from brooklyn he'll let you know, he meets an eccentric client who askes him to find a missing man

The movie inspired stuff like the religious aspect (alongside many other movies) and especially the Loud Fan thing and the big hopeless dark twist at the end

Alright, sorry I missed that. I see where you’re coming from, the show was very clearly inspired by anime. I think it’s closer to shoujo anime, like Sailor moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena (pretty sure there was direct references to it) and Magic Knight Rayearth then Dragon ball?

Also think they’re more educational in the emotional sense, also helps fuel the creativity of the children watching. I don’t think "shonen for pussies" could hurt, if the children watching like what they see it could encourage them to seek more. I’m personally trying to use one of my friends love for Owl House to get them into some of the classics

Ok so I think my biggest hot take is that Dragon's Crown is kind of mid.

Might be shocking to hear since I'm a big Vanillaware fan, but I personally think they focused on the multiplayer aspect too much, and while I understand why they did it since the game is supposed to be like a DND campaign, it makes it not really fun to play if you're doing it solo imo.

Like you have to either playing with people in-person or with a group of people online in voice chat for it to be fun imo.

It's still by far, not even close, the best side scroller beat em up I've ever played.
