Hot takes

It's a common rhetoric that reading books is good for you, like eating vegetables.
Pish posh!
Everone knows that beating really hard bosses without taking any damage on Kiss Your Ass Goodbye difficulty is what makes one a good person!

Anyway, I don't think reading books makes you a better person.
While I do agree that it doesn't necessarily makes someone a "better" person (which is subjective in many cases) I'd still argue that it's always healthier and opens the perspectives of oneself to read various authors from various eras.

Reading only authors with the same opinion or era would be more limiting.

It also helps to see the mindset of people from an era where there's nobody alive left.

It's a common rhetoric that reading books is good for you, like eating vegetables.
To be honest eating vegetables actually means eating more varied food, not vegetables themselves.

I feel that sadly we got too much fast and junk food around. Even a quality meat is still better than pre-made industrial food at the end of the day.

Anime english dubs suck

Anime english dubs suck
Even though I never watch an english dubbed anime, italian dub is probably worse. Only the ones aired on local TV and on MTV were faithful dubbed. National networks here suck when it comes to anime, with any kind of censorship.

Kingdom Hearts is absolutely mid, and maybe that's being a bit generous even.
True that, only played Chain of Memories (TBF a crappy introduction to the saga due to the cards mechanic) and i barely got past the first set of card worlds
Tried 1 and two and i had to pinch myself awake, the cutscenes are SOOOOO LOOOOOONG, even if you pay attention the lore is so confusing you can barely comprehend it and the gameplay... i love Action RPG's but give me Star Ocean or Tales any day of the week rather than two deadweight lobotomized AI "Companions"

The Virtua Fighter series is decent and all, but aside from 4 Evolution, they aren't anything mindblowing IMO. I actually prefer playing Fighting Vipers and especially Fighters Megamix over playing the first 3 VF games.

It's definitely still an unpopular opinion because nostalgia has clouded most people's judgement of the system.
What i say might be a hot take, but i think, at least from what i've seen since CDRomance and then this site, that people here have matured to the point that they at least recognize that a good thing can have flaws and still be enjoyable, and that's good.

i think ridge racer(the entire series) sucks and is vastly overrated, the 90s titles handle like a turd and dont have an understanding on why driving cars is fun in the first place(which is to say dynamicism, something these games lack) and in my eyes are easily overshadowed by sega's 90s arcade racing games which have actually aged well due to how well they drive(especially sega rally). the 2000s titles are simply boring to me with the now easy and understandable driving(unlike previously where for the life of me i cant get a consistent drift to work and it feels so weird and on rails) feeling as flat as before but now easier coupled with very boring racing as this series never invested its time in developing actually challenging ai of any sort. i also feel that the presentation(outside of the 1st game) is lame but i feel like thats just because i dont like these games in the first place
The handling is a bit weird at first but when you get it the game together with the presentation is sublime

Biker Mice from Mars > Rock 'n' Roll Racing
Top Gear SNES series > SNES F-Zero and Mario Kart
Outrun, Outrunners best 2D racing games overall

The Simpsons movie could have been better if it wasnt oriented at people who havent watched the show

I rather adopt and rear domestic animals rescued from the street, than to breed a new human being with my perception and sensibilities to suffer this cruel and corrupted world.

The world is horrible, full of fun things to do, but pleasure and contentment are impermanent, unlike chronic pain.

I also rather be alone in my late 30s, than to deal with an angry person in the same house.
I have a bad enough time coping with my shortcomings as a man, to even think of letting down a woman person who will be right to despise me.

I think it is responsible not breeding, even though I had plenty of chances of reproducing, and getting married despite being Autistic and Bipolar (blessed with good looks); because I am suicidal and I would hate leaving children to suffer abandonment like I suffer my own families abandonment while they were alive.

I truly feel reproduction is way over-hyped.

Louis Breton once noted how weird it was for people in the direst conditions to insist in reproducing plentifully without even being able to provide the basics, like dogs do on the streets plagued with languid pestilence. Whereas Elephants, he noted, never reproduce in captivity. Elephants understand their conditions and restrain their drive for orgasmic pleasure.

I am sure Bankers and Plutocrats conspired for centuries in order to breed poor, uneducated, masses whose labour to exploit. And now we can barely afford to rent a tiny room with half our income even if we graduated from University.

I think the tides are changing and the plan is to depopulate in the brink of total automation and AI.
I think that is why they are Turning The Frogs Gay with agro-chemicals and promoting the Hedonistic agendas of sexual "deviations"... they no longer need to force us to comply into family units of people who hate eachother but had a higher calling to be a family and breed because "Tradition".

I hope it was Hot and Spicy.
Don´t forget to like, share, and suscribe; it helps us reach a wider audience.
Thank you for watching!
Buh-Bye!

I follow a manga about figure skating called Medalist, whose first season (anime) just ended.

Yesterday I saw people all over socials celebrating the main character's birthday, and while I love precious lil Inori to heaven and back, I will never understand celebrating the fake birthdate of a fictive person. I mean real life people's birthdays make sense, it's the day you were born... duh. But while a fictive character can also have a mom and dad and a canonincal birthdate that the author decided on... they are not a real living person, so they have no real birthdate.

Like, I am all for being so attached to a fictional character that when you read the story they feel real to you, because that's a sign of good writing. But please don't go so far that you celebrate the "day they were born".... because they weren't.... that's going too far in appreciating the character in my stupid opinion.
