Good Day Good People

is there a big difference in performance with a CHD vs ISO ?
i play 9n my tablet, but i would love to half the size of my psp iso....

is it worth it ?

I haven't tested it on tablets, but on PC, i usually convert my isos to CHD format and didn't notice any difference in performance.

If CHD hurts the performance any (which it normally shouldn't) you can also try CSO. If you have access to a PC I recommend using the GUI app for CHDman called namDHC they recently updated it and paired it with the latest build of chdman.
