Guilty pleasures?

KIng's Field games. They are sluggish as shit and I probably would've dropped 'em without save states, but the atmosphere and rustic visual design is great.

Only heard about the "russian reboot" freak from these three. Didn't someone promise to arrest her, but lied, like always?

Have you heard of this guy? He tries to turn USA into North Korea. I heard he has a bigger government role now, kissing president Musk's feet:

You brought up the GTA Hot Coffee thing, only mentioning conservatives, so I felt the need to correct you. As stated, it wasn't only conservatives, it was also Democrats. Be honest.

But USA has no Conservative party? You confuse them with UK, who do. In United States, both Democrat and Republican parties are conservatives. I said:

Conservative Americans are always offended over everything. That's because they have very poor education.

Notice I never mentioned Republicans, but you thought about them yourself when I mentioned uneducated morons who are constantly scared of everything. I said that about AMERICANS. In general. Sadly, that's not exclusive to 50% of US population that are confirmed as mentally handicapped after last elections, actually even more of them are idiots. The "parents worried about" conservatives, or the terror by "house owner association", any Karen, or cops shooting kids on the street...

I meant what I said. Americans BADLY need a color revolution, because now their state acts like Western Belarus right now. I heard people get persecuted by HOAs for having a centimeter of lawn not conforming to their 1984 standards, like other people tell them what they keep in THEIR gardens. This is insane levels of bolshevism at this point! Basically like ratting out to KGB. Press getting heavily censored if they not echo the far right. US is more similar to russia than to Europe. States are extremely backwards!

And that's even a bigger problem when the (still, but not for long) richest country in the world is ruled by an unelected boer caveman from apartheid South Africa, it's like a post-Soviet oligarchy now, speedrunning the 90s with Nazbol kleptocrats at the helm. Videogames are the least of their worries when department of education is literally replaced with pro wrestlers. That's called Idiocracy.

But yeah, back to gaming, when any new game that launchers, you always get a bunch of extremely conservative Americans bitching in comments why they got triggered by inclusion of black people, or women, or non-English language, or accessibility... Last I heard from dumbest people in the world was "Lara Croft is DEI", imagine if USA forced publisher to change Tomb Raider to a white male, lmao!

Closest thing I can think of to a guilty pleasure is the Transformers movie NDS games, but I think those were pretty good DS games so idk.

I don't need you to write an essay, I was just correcting you. Save your political rants for someone who cares because I assure you, I do not.

Don't care so much you keep answering.

Your "correction" was wrong... Duh.

Like I stated, IDGAF about your present day political rants. You're not going to drag me into that. I'm only correcting you on the GTA Hot Coffee comment. You only mentioned Republicans being involved when high-profile Democrats were involved. Thanks for playing.

PLAYİNG horror games knowing ı have heart problems and dont like horror games

but the fear is good enugh to make me jump from my seat and screaming every 2 seconds
Trust me, you're not the only one in this.
Some horror flicks, Resident Evil 1-3 and Fatal Frames series always assaulted my scaredy fragile heart even when I know which time the jumpscares would happen.

my worst expraince was re7 biohazard
never screamed so much and had to pause and walk a bit lol

I'm gonna say the Far Cry games. I can't get enough of them. I know they're really flawed and samey and get dragged a lot, but they're like caffeine to me. I just finished replaying 3, 4, 5, & New Dawn, and I already want to replay them again. I don't know why. I've never wanted to play Primal though, so I guess it has something to do with having an open world map with modern vehicles and guns. Being able to hop in a car, drive, hop out, grab a boat or chopper, and blast things with a grenade launcher or snipe someone from a mile away. Plus I genuinely think they look great, especially compared to games like Skyrim/Starfield/Outer Worlds etc.

The fact we went from Driv3r to GTA in a guilty pleasure thread because of politics is hilarious and i do not regret making fun of gaming journos of the 2000s for it.

Also just for your information, this is a retro game forum in the general gaming discussion category...

What are some of your guilty pleasures in gaming? Like a game you keep coming back to despite knowing it's bad, or thinking it really ain't that good despite maybe getting praise from other. It could also be a game you genuinely find some hidden qualities in despite all the hate it gets.

For me an example could be Prince of Persia (2008). While it certainly ain't horrible and does have redeeming values like its artstyle and dual protagonist parkour system, it is far from the best game in the series, yet it is oddly one of the games, aside from Sands of Time, that I find myself occassionally diving back into. Maybe just because I like the characters? I mean I am totally simping for Elika and it saddens me her story didn't go further. The game DID get a DS "sequel" but it only saw the Prince looking for help in another country, and essentially ending back at square one, making it more of a mini-spinoff in that timeline's universe.

It's "Game Over" mechanic was so great! It was good in Sands of Time with "Wait... that's not how it happened" but I loved this one also.

I agree with you on this one, although I last played 5. I always just loved the Map Editor and when 6 axed it, I was out. I still think Farcry 2 is one of my favorite games ever, but I think its flaws are pretty enormous. I just want Farcry 2 setting with 3 and on gameplay. If the outposts didn't constantly respawn, and there was wildlife in Africa, oh and a co-op, I would be the happiest guy.

Anyways, idk if it counts but, Runabout 2, that game has something about it that made me actually play it through even though it was not particularly good. (probably helped by a rather short length as well)
