Good game, bad port

Games on gamecube wasn't bad but because of CD system and storage a lot of them ignored.
One tragic fall of king of video game Nintendo from the top of mountain.
They wanted to curb piracy, and it worked for a time, but it cost them. That said, it wasn't the game medium. No one was taking the crown from the PS2.

Before the gamecube Nintendo defeated the Sega and their Nintendo 64 was a great success.
Gamecube had lowest sell against xbox and ps. I know later Wii take them up again but gamecube was a mistake a bit. If they actually make the system of CD better and work more on hardware I think even if ps2 was great(it is great actually) Nintendo have something to show.

Is the Nier Automata PC port still bad? I remember laughing at my friend for buying it full price, and it barely running.

Also, i remember the Dark Souls Prepare to Die PC version being bad without Durante's fixes.

There is also the PC and Saturn ports of House of The Dead 1, which look VERY bad.

I while ago, i saw a you tube video about good games that are horrible in some plataforms, for example Max Payne which is awesome on PC but terrible on Playstation 2. Half Life 2 which awesome on PC my has frame rate issues on xbox, and so on.

I recently got myself into this thread by playing stray on the nintendo switch, since i dont have a gaming pc or a ps5, but i really want to play this game i give it a go. I managed to finish it but my god it was a dreadful experience.

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force on PS2, The House of the Dead on Sega Saturn, literally any remaster by Limited Run Games (moreso due to ethical reasons, but also because some of their efforts like Clock Tower Rewind add needless additions), and on a less sucky note, the BFG Edition of Doom 3 (still perfectly enjoyable, but odd changes and a narrower FOV make it less desirable than the OG PC version and OG Xbox port).

Metal Arms Glitch in the System on the PS2, please i beg you play it on XBOX or the XBOX port on the 360 🙏

The best ports for each game are, as follows:
PC and Remake (House1)
Dreamcast and Wii (House2)
Xbox, PC, Wii and PS3 (House3)
And House of the Dead 4 is a PS3 exclusive, Overkill doesn't count since it's a non-canon vulgar grindhouse spoof, and 5: Scarlet Dawn hasn't had a port.

This trainwreck:

Unfinished source code used then patched up with random nonsense.
Broken fog. (its almost like a solid wall at a distance, just out of reach).
Low FPS, especially in SH3 sewer area.
Awful re-recorded voice lines (SH2 has option to switch to OG, however SH3 does not)
Looping/replaced audio or sfx everywhere.
Art assets changed e.g. repaved, clean looking roads in SH2. Teeth texture inside Maria's eye socket in a certain cutscene towards end of game, (yes that really is a thing)
I could go on quite frankly.

Carmageddon on the N64 is renowned as one of the worst games on the platform, but was a genuine classic on PC.
I live on the very island where Carmageddon was made (the British Isle of Wight). I've played a bit of the original through the GOG release, and am planning to look into the most recent chapter, and so I mean it when I say that C64 is an utter disgrace to my island's pride.

EDIT: Even the idea of a Carmageddon 64 is ridiculous, since the original game and its sequel are basically Death Race 2000: The Game. How does a deathmatch sport where you also must mow down pedestrians for points work on a Nintendo console pre-Perfect Dark and Conker's?
I'll tell you: IT DOESN'T.
EDIT #2: But then again, the Nintendo 64 is famed for the Turok trilogy, which is famed for its RoboCop levels of violence, so....

DOOM for the 3DO, from what I hear.

Though not through any fault of the Dev. They only had 10 weeks to port it/re-build it on the architecture. Pretty incredible that it runs at all.

i'd just remembered san francisco rush is glorious on N64, but absolute horrible on Ps1.

ive beaten Scarlet Dawn in the arcade great game, i pray they port it. Ive played the OG HotD on Saturn doesnt seem bad. It was on MODE via OG hardware

The 2007 PC Port of Resident Evil 4
The “Definitive Editions” of the GTA Trilogy
The 3DO Version of Doom
The Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1
The DS version of the King Kong game
Silent Hill HD Collection
Xbox 360 ports of PS4/Xbox One games
The PS3 version of the Orange Box
The OG Xbox version of MGS2 Subsistence
The XB360/PS3 versions of San Andreas

But the worst way of all..
