So it's a long story but I'll try and keep it concise.

I was very excited to get a modded Wii this weekend at Level 7 Games in Federal Heights, CO. There's an unaffiliated "repair shop" in that store that mods consoles for you and then you go pick it up later. Well, the Wii I bought has Nintendon't on the front SD card as well as USBLoader GX. They gave me a 64GB SD card that is inserted into an USB Adapter. They preloaded some games and I deleted all of them because I'm not a casual player and I play the more obscure titles on the console, both Wii and NGC. I used NKit to convert Vimm CISOs to ISOs and for the Wii games, I used TinyWiiBackupManager to convert RVZ files into WBFS. I also successfully used GCMM to pull my save files off Dolphin for both Wii and NGC, which I bought a NGC memory card from Level 7 before I attempted that anyway lol.

My experience was soured because I wanted a console that can read discs AND play off SD Card/USB. The idea behind buying the Wii was to slowly purchase whatever is on the SD card physically and then delete the digital games. The guy at the repair shop said I was on my own because they don't support disc repairs due to selling me a console that can play off the SD Card. Well in my self-repair, I found out that there were just fridge magnets shoved into the disc port? So, all I did was make sure to clear it out and now the disc drive works perfectly. I feel it was scummy to sell me a Wii , of which only works via SD Card/USB.

And that scummy feeling is more justified when I realized Nintendont will not actually play any games I put on the SD Card at all. The screenshot you're seeing is me usiong TestDisk to see what Nintendont did to the SD Card that the repair guys gave me. IT LITERALLY erased the MBR on the drive. So I either have to reformat in FAT32 again, using EaseUS, OR I might hahve to get another SD Card.

Before I got to this point, USBLoader GX kept saying my card wasn't initialized at random points when there was no issue before, which I suspect is the NAND flash on the SD Card reaching end of life. I can't tell for sure, but the screenshot you're seeing kinda confirms it.

What kinda company tells you they can't repair thier own mistake, and then on top of it, gives you an SD card that might actually be dead or close to it? I used to collect about 10 years ago and had to sell everything when I moved for college reasons. This is the first console I've had in 10 years and I'm beyond frustrated with it. I just just wanna play some games, man.

The most general Q I have is what have I done incorrect?

Any programs I didn't use, any files I misplaced, etc

Have you paid for someone to mod a Wii for you? you can do that for free in your home, and by doing on your own you can learn a few things in case problems arise, such as this one.

I recommend you follow a tutorial, do the process yourself from scratch and enjoy the Wii.
