That level is hell... At least the Genesis version of the game had an easier Clinger Winger level.

Isn't it funny that there was a Master System port of the sequel Battlemaniacs? Of course it was a late release made for Brazil but it's still interesting that the soft 16-bits remake/sequel of a NES game got a 8-bits demake.

I've discovered that last year thanks to me marathoning the Battletoads franchise (I did them all minus the Arcade game).

The Genesis had some 80's era arcade ports like Ghouls 'n Ghosts which is between Ghosts 'n Goblins and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

I've discovered that last year thanks to me marathoning the Battletoads franchise (I did them all minus the Arcade game).

The Genesis had some 80's era arcade ports like Ghouls 'n Ghosts which is between Ghosts 'n Goblins and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

I knew about this version years ago, back in the late 2000s. The first time I actually played that version was in 2008 on emulation. I really don't know how I beat it.

Yeah, I did actually know about this port... what I did not realize was that it's its own game apparently? I thought it was just a better version of the NES game. If it isn't clear, I've never really played either of them much. Played Super Ghouls n Ghosts a good bit though.

Yeah, the "Super" in the title is a bit misleading.

It's easier to understand with the japanese name of the games (Makaimura, Daimakaimura and Cho Makaimura) but Capcom didn't bother too much with the english names... Ghouls 'n Ghosts 'n Goblins anyone?

Xbox comes to mind always, with the Xbox One, and then the One X, Series X, and Series S... Game wise, Nintendo sucked pretty bad for a while too. It started fine, and then "Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Brothers 3" and "New Super Mario Brothers U. Deluxe", or "New Nintendo 3ds XL"

SIFU. When I played the game last year I got to the end of The Club stage and then the game bugged out and the last boss door would not open. I actually did well for a first try, keeping my age below 40.

Returned to the stage again today and got my ass kicked to hell and back. 50+ old on the boss fight?! Ugh, i'm getting rusty.

Super Baseball 2020 for the Genesis. I don't think I've ever shouted as many obscenities in a row as I have with this game. The computer AI is unrelenting and will constantly fuck you over, literally catching every ball you hit. It's a wonder I cherish this game as much as I do lol

Playing Devil may Cry 3 Special Edition via the HD collection on PC at the moment, and having a great time! Definitely a punishing game but I can feel myself improving each time I play it, and when you get into a flow pulling off combos it's so satisfying.

Playing Ace Attorney Trilogy HD (Steam) on my AYN Thor. I played all AA games years ago but am replaying them now. They're great to play on my public transit commute to and back from work.

Picked up Metroid Dread while i was on vacation. So i'm gonna get that going.

Also bought the Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1 for dreamcast and i'm excited to try Phantasy Star II. I haven't played any of them. Are they connected or like FF?

Been playing the Pokemon Trading Card game on gameboy color. Really been losing interest in games that i've started (Bananza, Pokopia, Frontier of Pandora, Diofield Chronicles... It's rough out here, i don't know what i'm looking for).
