I think some may argue but I liked Alundra 2 a lot more.
The first one was great but was kind of a Zelda clone.
The 2nd was it's own game.

Launchbox - PCSX2 (PS2) - Star Ocean 3: Til' the End of Time (80% of the way through)
Launchbox - Retroarch (PSX) - Vagrant Story (half way through)
PC - Dragon Quest 7 ReImagined (original version has been in my backlog since it first released)
PC - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 & 4

I've heard that as well, tbh. I'm excited to try the second one after I'm done!

Just finished Demon Tides. It was AMAZING! I really loved that game, it was a great sequel and I hope we get a DLC someday \o\
Now I'm currently playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy for the PS2 (and playing the GBA version sometimes), but I also plan on starting Dodge Ball Academia soon enough.

Lately been playing Monster Hunter 2 Dos, a bit of Portable 3rd, and a bit of Wilds.

I’m also running through a replay of Dark Souls 2. I’ve completed vanilla DS2 a bunch of times back then but never completed SOTFS or its dlcs so, I’m aiming to do that with this current playthrough. I’m also playing through the 3D Ninja Gaiden games. A couple years ago, I beat Ninja Gaiden Black and LOVED it. Then last month I beat NG II (OG on a 360) and I absolutely adore that game. Right now I’m playing through Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. It’s a bit quirky buuut I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a soft spot for it. And the combat is fantastic. Plus ninja trials with multiple characters. I LOVE Ayane. It just feels like a really well packaged action game. Bosses are ass though but I love the combat and the OST. NG3:RE’s story is not a highlight of the game but there’s plenty of really great moments like Canna making Ryu flustered catching him off guard as she asks him to be her dad. That got a good laugh out of me.

I've been playing Skullgirls 2nd Encore, and I recently beat all the story modes.

I've never been much of a fan of fighting games because I'm really bad at them, but even so, this has to be one of the ones I've enjoyed the most. I still play it occasionally, either by myself or with friends.
Playing it on PC by the way.

Recently started playing Disgaea 3 on my Steam deck via Vita3k after i took a short break from the series after finishing Disgaea 2 last Year.

My husband bought me some DLC for Disney Dreamlight Valley so I have been playing a lot of that recently on my PC. Totally forgot about Pokemon that I was playing on my Switch. So far I REALLY love the DLC. It's nice to have a horse to ride now lol I like the mounts feature they added.

I've been playing Kunitsu-Gami on my Xbox. It's been pretty great so far, it's a really fun take on tower-defense and it has a really cool diorama-like aesthetic. I also really enjoy its approach to optional challenges, where you only figure out what the optional objectives are after you beat a level once. I like how it forces you to just play a level the way you want the first time through since usually with games like this I'm compelled to restart a level repeatedly until I complete every optional objective my first time through which usually feels pretty miserable.

I'm also going through Persona 2: Eternal Punishment via PPSSPP with the fantranslation patch. While I'm enjoying it quite a lot, the translation work unfortunately feels really awkward in a lot of places (sometimes I have no idea what the characters are even saying for an entire scene) but since I heard that the translation patch was built off the official translation for the PS1 version, there probably isn't anything I can do to fix that, which makes pretty sad since there's a lot of really cool stuff the story is doing that I just can't fully appreciate with how clunky the translation work is.

I've been playing Kunitsu-Gami

Yeah, I quickly got sick of tower-defense games as many as they are. Indies really cooker-cutter them out faster than Match 3's but this gem from Capcom really added a whole new spin on the genre; becoming it's own thing and feeling fresh.

Back in the 90's, during it's early days, people in arcades had a hard time getting me off Street Fighter. I could could go through many play sessions and opponents on one quarter.
Nowadays my brain has slowed down and I can't keep up with the action on screen.

I would really love to 'get gud' at the recent Killer Instinct but 'rush-combo' fighters move too fast for my now-antiquated and beat-up brain.
As such, I can still manage 'footsie-tactical' like SF (just not as well as I used to) and, if I remember, Skull Girls was similar - I'll have to try it again as I had only put an hour into it back while it was still (relatively) "early access."

I'm currently rotating through a couple Final Fantasy games again, just started the pixel remaster of Final Fantasy V and i recently started a second playthrough of VIII too, a friend also got me to finally try out Final Fantasy XIV a couple months ago and it's totally taken over my free time.

I'm also rotating through a couple co-op shooters since that's what my friends play, Helldivers 2 is as fun (and frustrating) as ever and when we're up for something that requires a little less concentration than HD2 we're playing Left 4 Dead 2.

aside from hopping on diablo iv when my friends are online, mainly cy-girls [ps2] because i wanted to see whether there were retroachievements for it [there aren't but i like it so far, so i'm sticking to it]

I just finished Rushing Beat X. It's a fun game, and the best in the whole franchise, but it still has some growing pains and issues like its predecessors. It has that Rushing Beat jank. The characters are all fun, and have a wide variety of moves, but certain characters are either more fun or better than the others. My main issue with the game is that the bosses are just okay or frustrating. Bosses tend to have way too much health at times, and the same goes for some enemies. Hit detection mostly work, but there are moments where I swear I am close to the enemy and my punches or attacks will sometimes miss. It didn't too often, but it happens way more than something you would rarely see in games like The TakeOver, Streets of Rage 4, or Double Dragon Gaiden. Certain enemy types can be cheap too. Mainly the wrestler and robot enemy types. They will sometimes grab you out of now where, and you can't break out of it. Why do certain brawlers still do this, when games like SOR4 and Shredder's Revenge solved this issue?

If you're into Rushing Beat lore, then this game's story is a fun doozy. You're not supposed to take it too seriously, but it's a game made by fans, and clearly for the fans. It has references tying back mainly to the first two games, but it's not just memberberries. Keep in mind, RBX is a prequel. It takes place after the first two games, but before the final entry in the franchise, Shura. I did enjoy it, but I probably be sticking with Free Mode to just play the game. There are some nice details as each character has their own unique dialogue when encountering bosses or story events.

The game has 9 stages total. The last two tend to drag little, but more the final stage. Thankfully, it's not that long. I will say the look of the game has been improved, and getting used to the art style and heavy ink shading. Almost reminds me of Viewtiful Joe a little.

As far as ranking this game goes, it might be a little too early for me to decide, but the game sits around between a 6-7/10. It's a decent time, and you'll have fun, but expect certain issues to grind your gears and frustrate you. The good thing is the game seems to give you unlimited continues on Normal at least. I don't know about Hard or Shura Mode, but I honestly don't want to play this on the harder difficulties. Not worth it, and there's no extra/secret ending for doing as far as I know. It's almost as if this was done to counterbalance the cheap difficulty.

Whoever you play as gets their own epilogue after beating the game. As far as 2.5D brawlers go, RBX is not better than Double Dragon Neon nor even Double Dragon Revive, but better than Demolish Fist. Not the biggest milestone to accomplish as there are other brawlers that already do that, but whatever.

Still on The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. I'm gonna be honest, I love the game, but I didn't expect it to be some damn long. 75 hours in and there's still quite a few routes I haven't been down.

Interesting. I don't think I ever stopped to properly look at this game.
Maybe skimmed over it, back in the day, when browsing Circuit City and Electronics Boutique.

I completed Rushing Beat X again, but this time with Free Mode on Normal. I actually did better here, than my first playthrough, but the game still has bullshit enemy design or hazards I don't like. Parrying is honestly not worth it. Combo cancelling is and dash cancelling to an extent are way more more worth doing. Though even dash cancelling can cause more trouble than its worth with certain enemy types.

I learned something, and that's if you're attacking from the Z-Axis (the game is a 2.5D brawler), you have a much easier time avoiding bullshit grabs, or avoiding immediate attacks from specific bosses. I don't know if this was exactly intentional, as sometimes the Z-Axis method doesn't work, or you're better off just memorizing a boss's attack pattern, wait out, and start the process all over again.

The ranking system is mostly useless as it boils down to getting a high combo score for each section, and that's about it. It's fun, but it does lose its appeal somewhat. There is a challenge to this game, but at least on Easy and Normal, you get unlimited continues. I take it this was more so done for casual play, but that means certain players are just going to brute force it, nor learn the more of the combo system.

Some alternate paths are not worth going to, or just wastes more time. I am more so referring to the last two levels. Just keep going straight and skip the rooms. Food items you want to hold on to, until you get the proper ingredients and make them at the shop. They way you get better buffs, and stock up on them in case of a tough fight.

I stuck with Blid in the first quarter of my playthrough, then Wendy until near a little over the halfway point, and stuck with Kazan. These characters are so much fun, but as much as I love Wendy, Kazan is stealing the show for me. He's basically the brawler version of Ryu Hayabusa in this game! Bild is fun and he has some of the best wrestling moves in this game!

Beating Free Mode unlocks Boss Rush mode. There are no other bonus features after this. The only thing afterward is do story mode and get the other characters endings for achievements, but I am not going to do that each time, or I might stick with Easy Mode to get it over with faster.

I like this game, but I can't give it any higher than a 6/10. Not unless they fix some issues and some odd bugs. I had soft crash on stage 5 in my first playthrough, and for my second on free mode, I had to do stage 5 again, because the game didn't save when I started stage 6 the night before for whatever reason. I will still play on occasion and do boss rush, but I don't see myself playing the harder difficulties. Especially if they limit your continues.

A densely modded Baldur's Gate 3 again.

I recently got into Sonic Racing Crossworlds
It's pretty damn fun

Rushing Beat X - I did story mode this time, but on Easy just to see the differences. There is not much other than enemies having slightly less health. Certain mooks or elite mooks can still fuck you up hard on your health meter. That includes certain bosses as well. I am finally getting the hang of the game's combat mechanics and been able to do successful moves and cancels consistently.

Lord J might be my new favorite, because he does so much damage (even on harder modes). He's basically a better version of Bild. Though I did the final boss as Kahlua to see her epilogue. For the all characters clear achievement, I am just going to keep selecting Stage 9, and do each character up to the final boss and see their endings the easy way. Hopefully that will unlock the trophy. I already got two characters done. I will try the rest later.

The more I think about it, the more this feels like an early XBLA game from 2008. Not as an insult, but almost nostalgic in a way. Anyone else get that feeling yet, if you played it?

I'm currently enjoying two games.

Death Stranding 2 - The graphics impressed me at first, but once the novelty wore off, what really stood out was Woodkid’s soundtrack; it’s the true backbone of the experience. I’m still early in the game, but it already feels like a clear improvement over the original, and I’m definitely in it for the long haul.

Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance (for like the 3rd time, now) - I love this game, I can't help myself :D

Well, I was playing the first chapter of Deltarune and I'm really enjoying it.I don't know which game I'm going to play next, and what games are you guys playing?

Kirby Super Star Ultra and Mario Kart DS. Also started Resident Evil Revelations recently, but I put it on hold for a bit. EDIT: forgot to mention Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes

I also beat Lego Star Wars 2 on the DS recently. I don't recommend that one. Painfully mediocre at best and infuriating at worst, that game is a broken mess
