games that every one hate's but you don't hate.

id like to hear from the perspective of someone whos experienced RE6 coop and still sees it as absolute sewer gravy. feels like all of this games defenders have played it coop
As i posted a while ago, it depends on the mindset, i mean if you singleplayer it´s difficulty means nothing, so it´s a breeze to go trought, the point is that coop is great because it basically becomes a Arnold/Stallone action movie with zombies, believe me, it becomes absolute fun.

Everyone despise Final Fantasy 8 and Dragon Quest 6 but both are my favorites

the only people ive seen hate on DQ6 are the worst people i know
True, some arguments doesn't make sense like "the game doesn't tell where to go in the middle of the story" when Madam Luca's cottage is there for you to say how to reach an specific village lol

I love the Yoshi's Island games on the DS and 3DS. Everyone seems to hate them but I don't.
after playing Yoshi's Story on N64 i lost all faith for Yoshi Only Games... due to it was the only game i rented for 3 day's in a row and beat it on the first day...

I actually liked Mighty No 9, Yooka-Laylee, and Sonic Forces.

Mighty No 9 had some issues, and it wasn't quite the return to Mega Man I was hoping for, but it was a pretty fun game

Yooka-Laylee had some balancing issues, and like Mighty No 9, wasn't a return to Banjo-Kazooie I was hoping for, but it had fun characters, and interesting gameplay elements. I hope the Remake genuinely improves on it.

Sonic Forces was bad compared to Classic Sonic/Adventure, but for a Burst era Sonic game, it was pretty solid. I enjoyed it a lot more than Frontiers. It was streamlined, without bloat. And the custom character thing was fun.

And I don't know if others "hate them", but I like Shadow Warrior 3, and DmC: Devil May Cry a lot more than other people seem to

Shadow Warrior 3 was perfect. It did away with the bullet sponge slog of Shadow Warrior 2013, and the procedurally generated, too-many-damn-guns, want-to-be-Borderlands of Shadow Warrior 2, and mixed in a bit of Doom Eternal to be the best game in the franchise.

And DmC: Devil May Cry was great from a gameplay point of view. The characterizations were shit, but given the original characters are back with DMC5, I can accept it as an experiment. Though if the characters had entirely original names (Not Dante, Vergil, etc), I think people would have liked the game at launch.

I actually like The Simpsons Wrestling.

I'd even argue it doesn't entirely deserve the hate it gets. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely at least a couple characters that are pretty problematic in terms of balance (Flanders and Smithers), and I'm not here to say it's a hidden gem or anything like that, but I do think some of the hate it gets is really overblown.

Sonic Labyrinth. It's not perfect, but it was at worst a 5/10. People act like it's the worst Sonic game, but honestly Sonic 2 (SMS), Chaotix, and Spinball were worse imo. If anything Labyrinth was an average enough puzzle game that was extremely short

Bullet Witch, I find that SOOOO many people hate the game, but I adore the very skunginess of it. THis mix of Simple Series and offbrand FF fashion design, it's great. it's hard to describe other than skung

The only unfortunate thing this game have is being localized by NISA really.

Mario 2: Lost Levels/US version
I love both of them.

Donkey Kong Country 3
DK is captured again, Kiddy Kong, music is different. I get it, but it's still has the SOC formula with amazing colorful graphics.

Sonic 3D Blast
I can agree it's different, but it's still a good Sonic game.

Starfox Adventures
It's different, and not another Starfox 64 reboot. Nothing's wrong with exploring a planet. Also Krystal.

Mario's Game Gallery: Chares Martinet'a debut as Mario who interacts with the player while playing board games. How is that bad?
Bart's Nightmare- the gameplay is not terrible. The controls are responsive.

Bart's Nightmare:Everyone hates it because Konami didn't get rhe Simpsons license and Acclaim is another LJN. But I found the the controls very responsive, and graphics is what the show is like in 1992.

Zelda II: Different in gameplay and intense difficulty, but I like it.

For me its this:
I dont hate it and i dont like it much its mid but not hateable imo

Toshinden isn't great IMO but at least the soundtrack of the first one is insane and the character designs weren't bad. I played the first one on Saturn a lot at the time, I still remember the awful dub.

I have several, but I'll pick Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance for now. I think it's a really good game, straight up. It's basically like Yakuza except you have the one-on-one fights that are more like a 3D fighter and more violence/less goofiness. The all-out brawls were just okay, but I spent way more time in one-on-ones, basically fighting everyone I could.

Wii Music, it's made out to be the dud of the series but i had quite a but of fun with it.... as a little kid. but still, good times.

Dark Souls 2? Half joking since I know it has plenty of fans.
Maybe Pokemon Omega Ruby? I always thought the hate was a bit overblown.

For games that I actually do agree with others they are pretty mediocre or even bad but still enjoy, Valhalla Knights series, Adventures to Go! A fair bit of the PSP and NDS era really

There is a very similar thread to this. I'll be merging the two momentarily.

As for DQ, I love the whole Zenithian trilogy. DQ6 is great.

Legend of Kage. Just because some fancypants internet dude said it was one of the worst games of all time everyone else repeated it without any self thought. I like the game a lot and it gets right to the oldschool ninja arcade action. If you compare it to other games made at that time, the controls and gameplay are very good and the game runs smooth.
