Well obviously they only care to milk it dry to the end.I just don't understand what they are doing with the franchise anymore.

Lightning returns is as good as majoras mask for anyone that actually gave the game a decent chance
Man, you must REEEEEALLY hate Majora's Mask.Lightning returns is as good as majoras mask for anyone that actually gave the game a decent chance, maybe not as groundbreaking as MM, but thats a given though.
I always wanted to try to play the game, I abandoned it when I learned of the time limit, tunrs out it's not bad at all and quite generous.
All in all lightning returns is a majoras mask/valkyrie profile game where lightning is the Valkyrie, it's pretty great so long as you aren't expecting a final fantasy game and I think the clue is in the name being ligtning returns and not final fantasy 13-3, the dev really just wanted to make a valyrie profile game starring lightning, shameless

That sounds good. The game is worth it.I will eventually buy it, but I've got a huge backlog and I want to really sink my soul into a game like that
The PSP remake is better in various ways, but retains the difficulty of the original PS1, including the dead end-like battle against Wiegraf. Also, getting Balthier(12) and Luso(TA2) is harder, if you don't have a strategy guide in your room.I'm kinda bummed they chose to omit the WotL content additions and classes, but I absolutely adore the original game to death and consider it the single best FF game out there. I'd be lying if I pretended not to be excited for this.
Even if only because it gives me an excuse to replay the game for the umpteenth time.
That said, I've never been a big fan of their font choice - it kinda works for Tactics Ogre Reborn, but not for FFT in my mind - or of that smoothing filter they're using.
I've seen far worse of either, but still.
Kain , case solved.just came across this:
not according to that video. cid is the best according to that youtuber. he also said that the black mage from ff tactics id also the best black mage in the series. he also beat ff9 with just freya, quina, and garnet in solo runs of the game. he does a lot of ff content related stuff.Kain , case solved.
But you forget the most important partI think that, in a regular playthrough, Freya is a disappointing party member.
First of all, she is female, and FFIX is a political game, so she has the lowest strength of all dedicated physical attackers in the game. She often falls behind on damage from Zidane, Steiner and Amarant. So why would we use her?
Jump actually sucks in this game. Unlike what Tantacles said, the fact it voids elemental and support effects from attacks is pretty bad. In FFIX, fighters should be equipped with killer abilities, and depending on occasion, MP Attack and take advantage of elemental alignment to boost damage from their physical hits. If Freya jumps, she voids all those effects for a sweet 1.5 damage increase that costs 2 turns to discharge, all the while eliminating a heavily armoured character and making the mages more prone to damage. 2 turns, 1.5 attack. It isn't even the default 2x damage from other games, which tends to be useless itself.
That could be worth it if like in some other games, Jump attacks avoided countering, but they don't in this one.
If you're going to use her end game, you should ignore jump and give her Holy Lance and Goddess Ring, and equip Devil Killer and possibly MP Attack for that sweet 9999 damage against everything in the final dungeon.
Because it's relatively easy to reach max damage with her at the end, and MP isn't a real limitation in this game, I don't consider Dragon's Crest useful outside of challenge runs. Grand Dragons make great levelling partners though.
Amarant is a cool troll man.
But that's just because his hair covers his eyes!He doesn't look at explosions. It's science!

every character can reach max damage in the game. and most characters are disappointing in a regular run of any game. my final party the last time that i played through ff9 was zidane, garnet, vivi and eiko.I think that, in a regular playthrough, Freya is a disappointing party member.

No i meant the BEST dragoon not only gameplay wise but everything else!not according to that video. cid is the best according to that youtuber. he also said that the black mage from ff tactics id also the best black mage in the series. he also beat ff9 with just freya, quina, and garnet in solo runs of the game. he does a lot of ff content related stuff.
I don't think about it that way dragoon characters tend to have lower strength than warrior characters like kain having lower damage and health than Cecil if i recall.I think that, in a regular playthrough, Freya is a disappointing party member.

by that logic, in addition to anyone being able to use any weapon type, any playable character in the game can be a dragoon. so i declare maria as the best dragoon in the series. No i meant the BEST dragoon not only gameplay wise but everything else!
In this case it would be Gareth/Ricard from FF2 since you can max out characters stats in that game thanks to the stats level up mechanic
Nah Maria isn't wearing armor so she can't be dragoon i declare it fully haram to not be armored from head to toe as a dragoonby that logic, in addition to anyone being able to use any weapon type, any playable character in the game can be a dragoon. so i declare maria as the best dragoon in the series.
i'm pretty sure that you can deck her out in some heavy armor that resembles a dragoon. there is heavy armor in the game. my point still stands.Nah Maria isn't wearing armor so she can't be dragoon i declare it fully haram to not be armored from head to toe as a dragoon
