Do you have a favourite game that you haven't beaten?

Namco × Capcom (2005) on PlayStation 2

I always recommend Ni no Kuni as one of the best games on the PS3, but when I played it I never ended up finishing it. Game is like over 50 hours long so eventually I just got busy with other things. One of these days I'll start up another playthrough again, because it's been far too long now to just pick up where I left off.
I'm so happy I caught this. I dont want to get into the story but let's just say I was homeless
for a long time, but luckily I had a droid tablet I could game on. To try and keep some of
my sanity. Anyways, Ni no Kuni... (let me do some looking, so sorry) Believe it or not I can't
find what I'm looking for online. So let me describe it and you sound like a Nino fan
maybe you can help. Now remember am familiar with the white witch ntsc game.

So it is basically the white witch game, you start with the rickety car, you go to the other
world, weird pillow thing with nose ring, mom dies , the works you know.
But the Game Was Japan-only, I remember Black witch was in the title, like Revenge
of the Black witch or something like that.

Now the coolest part was in Japan the game came with a book that was REQUIRED to
finish the game. Made sense, you are an a prentice wizard you need your Grimoire.
Once again I was downloading this stuff digitally, so I put the wizard's Grimoire into
my phones book reader.
Man, It was great I had all the great stuff going on in the game, but you ACTUALLY needed the book for info, to solve equations, look for secret runes, etc.
It was really cool, having to use the book to basically learn my magic for the game from my
"physical" spellbook really added a big level of immersion in this game.

Bad news thats all I really remember. that was like 10-11 years ago. And due to the terrible chaotic lifestyle of being homeless, and especially because of some junkie stealing my tablet I never
finished. That makes me sad.

Sorry I can find no pics Fam.

When I was a kid we had 3 side scrolling action-adventure games I was never able to beat Blaster Master, Faxanadu and Zelda 2. I did eventually finish Faxanadu and Zelda 2 but I've still never finished Blaster Master. The furthest I ever made it as a kid was up to the Area 3 boss with enough continues to get through but i had to leave the nes on overnight and all day when I was at school. It made it through the night but someone turned it off while I was at school. I've made it up to area 4 when I've replayed it as an adult but I've never had enough continues left to get through it.

@Sheepy765
Do you want a good laugh? Probably, so hold on and let me set it up.

Im 53 ,played Video Games ever since I finally let go of my joystick
and grabed a video game joystick. And my spec-al-I-TY (pronounced
the fancy way with your pinky out) is RPGs.

Here is the HARD TRUTH and the SECRET to beating this game my fellow Sophia lover...
1980s Graph Paper. YES, you need to map everything if you want a chance. Remember NO
INTERNET
in 1988, just paper and pencils. Now there may be some modern equivalent
to graph paper I have no idea. If you ever meet someone who said they beat this without
mapping tell them to go shit in their hat, because they might also try to sell you oceanfront
property in Arizona also.

oh that's the DS game, which is the real first game in the series. We have it on the repo, complete with the wizard's companion book. I still need to give that one a try, though the PS3 version is basically a remake of it.

Never got past the three first time portals in the End of Time of Chrono Trigger

*Chrono Trigger theme part plays*

Currently working on fixing my mistake

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!

I truly love that game but it's hard... REALLY HARD. Every time I give it a shot I get to a new boxer and then give up. Last time I got to Mr. Sandman.

One day I'll finish it!!

Valkyria Chronicles.
Life circumstances at that point was ambushing me from every single corner that any attempts after trying to continue it just fell to naught, even trying to tackle other games in the franchise like 4.

Which vastly annoys me, because I have that distinct memory of getting around halfway in VC1, and experiencing this significantly long battle that through a particular and well thought out strategy i managed to overturn the odds. It felt like an emotional point in a story you'd see about in a film. That kind of feeling where it feels really grandiose where others might not understand it, right?

Maybe I just need to try harder with them.
Ace Attorney Investigations 2 suffered this also with life issues.

For 20 years, I was stuck in my favorite PS2 game because Shao Kahn is a damn tanker (thank God I got rid of that last year).
