Did you ever play with toys as a kid, I mean, really play with them.

Yes.
And doing crossovers that for whatever fucking reasons wouldn't happen.
Like the Six Million Dollar Man vs the Incredible Hulk
Or Star Wars vs Star Trek
Even Godzilla vs Superman
Battlestar Galactica vs Star Wars
G.I. Joe (the original) vs Spider-man

I'd just gotten the Shogun Warriors Godzilla when friend of aunt brought their son over with a Mego Superman. Fucker kept knocking over my new big ass Godzilla down with his Superman figure. Told him multiple times to stop, fucker wouldn't stop. So I shot him in the face with the right hand which would shoot out right in his stupid face. Mind you, the hand would shoot out fast, and kinda far with the spring in the forearm. The Godzilla hand was pretty solid plastic too. Hit him right in his forehead. And he began to yell I hit him with Godzilla. Yeah, got whooped for it, but don't fuck with my new Godzilla.

Yes, of course. Even with my friends back in the day.

i absolutely adored playing with my silly toys! it was one of the most fond memories i have of my past, and i used to always play with my sister.
we both had these colourful cat plushies and my sister would pretend they were the "galaxy queen," basically just god lmao. and we would basically terrorize the other plushies.
i remember stealing (well, more like taking because they've always noticed and never seemed to mind) some plushies from my cousin's house across the road, i just loved collecting plushies to play with them, so so much! and then my dad threw them all away.

Fucking oath mate spent hours playing with my Tonka trucks and Matchbox and hot wheels cars outside in the dirt

Tell me where your dad lives. I must pay him a "visit."

Of course? I had action figures and things and would make Lego buildings and make little stories out of it all. One could argue that I never stopped when I discovered DND in my teenage years and became a DM, lol.

I know I did. My favorite toy was a brave Reideen toy though what I really wanted was a complete Voltes V set but it was split among my siblings. I only got the Volt Lander while my brothers got the other machines. So if I wanted to play with the complete set, my brother had to be in a good mood or he'd hide his pieces somewhere so I couldn't play with the whole robot.
I'm so jealous you grew up with toys of super robots. I love Brave Raideen from what I've seen of it so far.

I had lots of toys. I had a lot of metal toy cars and a lot of them was Hot Wheels, I had a fairly bigger toy car with a green hue and I painted my initials on it, I also played with a lot of LEGO, I always had a massive box of it with no instruction manuals to build things. I remember owning this Mega Bloks boxset but I don't know it's name. You can build two towers of opposing factions and put these grappling hook wires that the figures could ride down as if to invade the enemy tower. It was so cool.

I also had K-nex, which I loved playing with. One time, I built a Lancer replica from Gears of War and was genuinely really proud of it.

I started with videogames when I was around 5 years old or so but I never stopped playing with toys just because. It was hand-in-hand.
