Definitive way to play your favorite games

The Wii port of Twilight Princess is the best way to play it, granted, if you come from the GCN one, you will find the game is literally flipped off, that aside the game seems designed better for the Wiimote and Nunchucks, oh, they also removed the infamous Mexico filter from the OG gamecube release

i'm using a hyperkin XBOX One controller and the camera won't stop spinning. I installed the input mod but it didn't work. i customized the controls with the app manager and still it keeps spinning and it won't save my custom controls either. So annoying!!!
thats really weird ive never had that issue before. i actually dont even use the input mod. the SA Mod Manager has an input mod of its own.

Enhanced, definitive version:

Ps4 version adds also Japanese dub with English dubtitles.
Classic Atlus, their USA branch is always at war with Japanese branch when it comes to nitpicking at minor localisation issues.
Hence why original Catherine is better too

If you want to get super nitpicky, the Xbox 360 version of Lollipop Chainsaw is better than the PS3 one in some minor ways (like a lot of third party games were back then). For one thing you can actually back up your save data. Also, the Valentines Day edition of Lollipop Chainsaw had some extra stuff and includes all of the pre order costumes via a code I think. I'm pretty sure it's the best version of the game. It has English and is region free

The PC version of the game has Ost restoration mods, extra costumes, safe and unsafe mods, ultra wide res and 4k graphics, bringing the mediocre Re-popped version close to the original.

Definitive version of Symphony of the Night no matter what anyone tells you, though it's missing the "I am the Wind" ending theme which still gives the PSX version some worth.
I'm with you on the Saturn one being the worst, but super hard disagree on this being the best version. For me, unnecessary translation, lack of shoulder buttons, lesser version of Maria. It *is* the best unlockable maybe ever in a game, but I still gotta go with the old PS1 version here.
Symphony of the Night has been ported a few times since its original release, but I still consider the PSX version to be the definitive version of the game, for both new and returning players.

The PSP version is a great runner-up, but is makes several changes and additions to the game, but most notably it replaces the original PS1 English voice acting and script, including the famous dialogue spoken by Richter and Dracula in the opening level. It just isn't Symphony of the Night if it doesn't have WHAT IS A MAN?

And to make PSX an even better experience for people, I recommend the Quality romhack to enhance the experience.

Cool thread,

I'm barely discovered Legend of Zelda Link's awakening HD, fanmade, the QoL is amazing. well the switch remake is cool, graphically yes.

but this is rocking solid, more than everyone would expect

Yes, You can see it right, the game can be zoooooming out into WHOLE MAP!
and not just zooming like a world map, they are all alive!

It's super cool, not changing much, but give new breath into this old lil gem

^ similar to this, the Zelda 2 reimagining that makes it widescreen and adds some QoL stuff is pretty great. I'm not sure if I like it better than the original, but it sure makes it a breezier playthrough.

Absolutely not agree. I can't be more disagree with anything in this world.
Link is left handed, LEFT. I am left handed, and I want Link to continue being left handed, because that was a trait in the character. But in the Wii version they decided to make it right handed, which is not "right" for me.

I am a hardcore left handed supporter. When I was in primary school, I had a teacher who didn't like left handed people and used to hit my hand with a ruler if he saw me writing with my left hand. One day I got fed of it and pushed him so hard that he fell to the ground and I started screaming like a crazy person, I just snapped. And I never regretted it.

Back to the topic, for me the best way to play a game is to first play the original first version of the game, the way it was meant to be played when it was developed.

i'm left handed too, after learning Link was lefty in Ocarina of Time, I felt like Link playing the game.
