Well to be fair Japan puts out new Wizardry games all the time. Hell they just released a new Wizardry gacha. But we certainly won't see another Sir-Tech Wizardry.

Mediocre? I've found 7/XX to be nice (especially as a handheld entry). Not on the same level as 6 but I'll be honest I got tired of aliens (either the Marsians or the Venusians) and the future soldiers were a neat twist on the Rebel army.

I'd still rate it above 4 all day.

Klonoa 3 would be great but could it surpass 2? Wario Land 5 was Shake It but I agree about getting a new one.

Also Id just really like a new 2.5D game, actual 2.5D where it uses the fact its in 3d and its like you're moving across a diorama

In the end I found it so forgettable, nothing to call its own meh bosses..

Anyway I deeply regret how 5 got rushed and unfinished because the Ptolemaic army had a great potential and the story felt darker as well as being the tail end of the timeline.

4 is terrible compared to the first 3; everything was recycled, bland levels, bland final boss.. my point was that at least it had one memorable thing about it unlike 7 and XX

No I mean 2.5D like 1 and 2, you move in 4 direction but the map moves around, it was awhole genre on the ps1 but then it just died for some reason, I never understood that; I dont want a 3d klonoa

I think that sadly the "innovation" excuse was also because Miyamoto wants to create something new each time (like with Pikmin) but does not always know how to improve an already established formula.

See how every Starfox games after 64 are not made by Nintendo and that F-zero GX which was fundamentally like X was made by Amusement Vision instead of EAD.

Mario being the flagship franchise next to Zelda allowed more games with less changes whereas a niche like the others would have them take more time for the formula.

Quake 1 is cool yeah. Unfortunately id Software and Bethesda think that Quake = "Must be a multiplayer Online Arena FPS only" despite that Quake II and 4 also exist.


I feel that Blood 2 killed the franchise (like how we won't ever see a Duke 5).

darkstalkers needs to come back. characters based off of old movie monsters with anime art style and dragon ball kinds of fights. it would make a lot of money and gain a lot of popularity in the right hands.
