Given the news of a number of long dormant franchises being revived, I was wondering if anyone has other games series they'd love to see come back.

For me, after seeing Ninja Gaiden and Onimusha coming back, I'd love to see the Samurai/Ninja momentum continue and get a new Tenchu game. I know Sekiro started development as a Tenchu revival, but I wanna see Rikimaru and Ayame get a comeback.

The fact that they never did an eighth-gen Katamari game boggles the mind. NOBODY AT BAMCO WANTED TO DO THAT??? Think of all the things you could roll up with modern hardware! You wouldn't need those awkward mid-level loading screens breaking up the action, anymore! Throw some money at Keita Takahashi, he's not doing anything important. The music would probably suck now because Shibuya-kei died years ago, but who cares, just get some random V-Tuber to do a bunch of songs about how much she loves being a girl or cotton candy or whatever.

In case I didn't make it clear, Gunstar Heroes.

Most of the series i really missed already came back or are in development soo i think in my checklist is... another Portal Game. Valve really could make a 3rd installment of any of their series, but i think the one that need to comeback more aside from Half Life is Portal. I just loved the puzzles stuff combined with the Aperture Science Lore Stuff. GLaDoS is still one of my favorite characters in all gaming, and i just one more Official Portal Stuff, Mods like Portal Reloaded didn't satisfied me, maybe because it felt more like a Portal 2 with extended mechanics more than a Portal 3

How about some Chrono Break?
Megaman Legends 3?
Nightshade 2 for NES?
The rest of Lord of the Rings trilogy on SNES?
Is the Mana series still going?
Official direct sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics?

These are the sort of thing that I need to be spending time learning programming for.

Not exactly dead, but i really wanted a proper mainline Metal Slug game. This series needs to been made justice by having a game as good as in the arcade era

Also i hate Epic games and how they willingly killed and disrespected Unreal and the Unreal Tournament series. They should've at least made the games publicly available but they seem to hate them :(

Good point (though your picture scares me ._.)

I forgot about Legends 3!

Oh no, Turok. I'm really not optimistic with Origins, not one bit, but who knows...
Same here, I would've listed it as well but after watching that trailer I mostly lost hope. I had played Evolution recently and it was certainly flawed but still reminded me of what could've been fixed in the future and possibly altered to be a better experience. Overall, I did enjoy it despite the issues I had with it. The new game seems to be too different from what I want from a new title.

Wow – the most recent original Ace Attorney game is EIGHT years old!? They've put out so many compilations, I've lost track! I'm surprised they haven't even announced a new one – surely the series is popular enough?
They screwed up big time trying to go a different direction with Apollo Justice.

Yeah, I never played any of the games past that point, either. They should have done more Edgeworth games, or perhaps a Gumshoe spinoff. I'm not really interested in any of the new characters or the steampunk nonsense.
