Many RPGs could fit the bill for comfy, here are some lighthearted adventures.
On another note, Silent Hill 1 - 3 are comfy too if you dig those.

started playing E.V.O. last night and can vouch its veryyy cozy, havent gotten past the fish stage yet (was getting my ass kicked over & over by the shark boss for like 40 mins?) but that stage in particular feels like if feeding frenzy was an rpg, very fun

Earthbound is pretty comfy.

Its high difficulty at later parts is anything but comfy even when playing with emulator where you can quick save/load.
